My laptop and I visit a lot of cafes. As an author, I’m always looking for good places not only to eat and drink but to sit and write for hours. As a teacher, I believe in scoring according to various criteria. With that in mind, these are my opinions about this one.
Food: ** The first time, I had the tuna sandwich, which came with apple slices, a salad, fried egg, and mini yogurt/granola dessert. The next time, I had the beef stew set meal, which included rice, cooked cabbage with sesame dressing, the soup of the day (creamy mushroom with corn, which really hit the spot on this cold evening), stewed turnips, and a cold vegetable appetizer. Drinks: * I had the caramel milk tea - tasty! Prices: * I feel the serving sizes are generous for the cost. Variety of Menu Options Available: * Variety of Non-Coffee Drink Options: * English Menu? Yes Wifi/Charging Ports Available? WiFi, yes. No charging ports, and I didn’t see any outlets (at least upstairs). Pleasant Environment/Comfortable to Write In: * I especially like the second floor, with the view. I do wish the music was a little quieter or that it didn’t have words. Customer Service: ** Hours: 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. weekdays; 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m weekends What was the bathroom like? Simple but clean. Additional Comments: There are a lot of full meal options that you wouldn’t find in most cafes, but not a lot of small side dishes if you aren’t...
Read moreCafe caught my eye with all the cute art and animals! They have a cat and a shiba though I haven’t seen the shiba. The cafe has chill vibes, many students come here to study and work. The drinks are good and there’s food available though pricey, as expected with a cafe that doesn’t have time limits. WiFi is strong and music is indie folk/pop. It’s well lit and the chairs are comfortable for long work sessions.
I like that they put up dividers in between people so you aren’t distracted by others are you. Not super loud since most people are working and even when people talk, the sound doesn’t carry that much.
The owners are very sweet and they seem to be LGBTQ friendly with all the rainbow flags! I love seeing all the art about them and crafting a story of...
Read moreI discovered Walk In Cafe totally by coincidence. It’s a super nice and cozy cafe off the beatin’ path in Linkou. It’s modern, spacious, and a very comfortable place to relax, enjoy a coffee, chat with friends, and have a bite to eat. The prices are reasonable and the staff are professional and friendly. Food is served fresh and the beef stew dish I ordered was flavorful. The coffee was very good and I could tell a true barista made it. I recommend you make a reservation in advance because I can sense that this place is quite popular with the locals. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY…… I highly recommend...
