Lili — Restaurant in Shilin District

A disappointing experience at Lili tonight, a shame as my previous visits have been very nice. The mojitos were extremely poor, made with Lime cordial rather than fresh limes and not a hint of fresh mint or a muddler anywhere in sight. Food was so so, spring rolls that were soggy with oil, as was the Aubergine and basil. On the plus side the prawns and pineapple were pleasant. The bar area was covered in empty glasses, cups and plates as well as staff perched there on their mobile phones. Won’t be in a rush to come back to an establishment which once felt quite lively and upmarket but which now feels like a greasy spoon cafe flinging orders out the door...

If one requires only one reason to visit Lili then it would have to be their Mojito. Easily the best Mojito in Taiwan! Lili is a pleasant evening hangout for date night or with friends. I have visited Lili's in Tianmu on several occasions and have come to the wonderful conclusion that is establishment is clearly the best restaurant in Taiwan.
