Today was my easy coffee ride day, so I decided to explore a new spot: All Day Roasting Company in Weien, Taipei. The café is tucked inside an older neighborhood in Songshan, but it’s relatively easy to find once you exit the riverside bike path. What makes it especially biker-friendly is that they let you park your bicycle indoors—perfect for a rainy afternoon or a scorching hot summer day.

I’m not a coffee connoisseur, so I can’t give deep tasting notes, but I can usually tell the difference between good and bad coffee. Their brew was solid, nothing to complain about. What stood out more was the atmosphere. The interior is cozy, with warm wood and a cabinet-style design that reminded me of cafés in the U.S. Midwest.

I ordered a chicken sandwich with my coffee, and the food was pretty good. My bill came to about US$15 for the set—not too bad if you’re used to San Francisco Bay Area prices, though a little on the pricey side for Taipei.

What made the visit even more enjoyable was meeting another cycling enthusiast at the café. We ended up having a great conversation, and I learned a lot from him about how to ride smarter and train better. That makes this place not just a coffee stop, but also a nice little hub where cyclists can connect and share experiences.

Overall, this is a great café to drop by if you’re riding in the area or meeting up with fellow cyclists. I probably wouldn’t make a special trip across the city just to come here, but I’d be happy to stop by again...

Stopped into All Day Roasting with a couple of friends at the end of a Sunday cycle for a quick (we’ll come back to this word later) coffee fix.

The design and spaciousness of the interior is immediately impressive as the shop doesn’t look big from the outside. There was obviously a lot of time and effort put into the industrial design and hopes were high as we walked in.

The staff were rather indifferent in their greeting as we pulled up three seats by the bar. Orders were placed (two lattes and a Capuchino) and chatting ensued as we waited for our refreshments.

The chatting and waiting continued for far longer than expected with no sign of our coffees after 30 minutes of waiting. It’s clear that the one person making coffee and one person washing dishes strategy was not enough to handle the current volume of customers despite the fact that the shop was only half full.

After just over 40 minutes of waiting, our coffees finally arrived. As far as flavor goes, I prefer my coffee quite strong and flavorful and while my latte was decent, it was quite mild. No knock on the shop here, though, as this is down to personal taste.

The overall experience was very average with the interior of the shop easily the min highlight. Not a bad option is you are looking for a lazy afternoon, but steer clear if you have anywhere else to be in the not too...

I’ve been a loyal customer of All Day since 2017 and have always loved the coffee and friendly atmosphere, but my recent visit was extremely disappointing.

A staff member (wearing glasses, likely a man but dressed or spoke in a way that made me unsure) informed me that the window seating was restricted to "1 person only." I clarified that I was just one person, but he insisted the rule meant only one seat was allowed there. He proceeded to bring me a bag to sit on after removing the chair I had moved to the window.

From previous photos of All Day, there were always 2 seats in front of the window, so I’m not sure where this rule came from. The shop was quiet with only 5–6 guests, so space wasn’t an issue. His approach was unnecessary and frankly came across as rude and arrogant.

This is not the kind of experience I’ve come to expect from All Day, where the staff have always been warm and welcoming over the past 8 years. After checking online reviews, it seems I’m not the first to have a bad interaction with this particular staff member.

I still enjoy the coffee, but this experience has left me disheartened. I hope the management addresses this issue and ensures their team reflects the friendly and accommodating service that All Day...
