Made a reservation through OpenTable for 2. When we arrived at the restaurant they checked our reservation details and seated us at the window. The sun was quite bright and it was kinda hot, before we sat down, I saw another table for 2 that was empty next to the bathroom and I asked if we could be seated there instead. They checked with the lady at the counter and later refused us saying that that table was reserved and they needed the table. We had no choice but to sit at the original window facing seat. It was very bright outside, it was hard on our eyes and it got really warm and we started sweating. When we were almost done with our meal, 2 walk in guests without reservation were seated at the original seat they initially said was reserved that wasn't available to us. Yes I speak fluent Chinese and I can hear all the conversation going on at the entrance. The food was good, but the staff and the overall environment made the whole experience bad. Making reservations actually guarantee you the worse seat in the...

Surprisingly good food and service from an unassuming neighborhood eatery. Highly recommend the Aussie Brekkie: The sausage deserves praise -- real meat, good seasoning. Not the non-descript stuff made from paste. Hash brown is seared crispy on the outside. Very nice. Coffee is full-strength and flavorful. They heated up the brownie before serving - a nice touch. Staff is attentive. Croissant is crispy on the outside but a bit hard inside. Not enough butter? Or heated with a microwave? Would be better if they grill the burger buns. (But few places in Taipei does.) Fries are nice. The main sitting area near the big window is...

A hidden gem in the Minsheng neighborhood! I was surprised by the beautiful presentation of the dishes and the quality of the food. They offer a variety of brunch options that are not very common in Taipei and strike the perfect balance—neither too salty nor bland, unlike some other cafés in the city. I especially love the café’s vibe, and its location adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Hopefully, we’ll see more brunch spots like this in the area soon!
