高空餐酒館★Rooftop XOXO Bistro #頂樓見！ — Restaurant in Taichung

Rude and impatient waitstaff that act like they have something better to be doing. Good view, overall, and the cocktails are decent, but they’re way overpriced (USD 10+) compared to local alcohol and food prices (dirt cheap). I bought $50 worth of food and cocktails with my wife over an hour or so, throughly enjoying ourselves. And then we remembered we had a couple of cheep beers in our backpack from 7-eleven. We opened them up and the waitstaff (who otherwise hadn’t checked on us once) immediately came over and informed us we can’t drink them on the roof.

I understand, rules are rules, but it seemed in poor taste to be so eager to shut down a couple of beers from well-paying customers. I won’t be going again for the waitstaff alone. But if you can bear the rude wait staff and overpaying for decent (not great) cocktails, the view is...

This is a 5-star venue with exhilarating view. However they probably need more experienced managers who know how to run a bar. We saw Mulberry Margarita on the menu and Don Julio tequila. We would like to pay extra and upgrade to better Tequila. According to the management, they are not allowed to do that. We asked to a salted rim around the glasses. We are willing to pay extra for the salted rim. And that’s not possible. We ended up ordering 2 Mulberry Margarita with 2 Don Julio shots on the side and asked for a stick to stir our cocktails. We were staying at the Moxy for business and decided to visit the rooftop bar for after dinner festivities (XOXO rooftop Bistro bar). Overall, very pleased with the decision. The rooftop has fantastic views of the city along with a cool comfortable sea breeze. The atmosphere was quite eclectic. The bartender paid a visit to our table and after understanding each of our drink preference, Vincent concocted a drink creation to meet each of our individual palettes.
