Overpriced, mediocre food with unreasonable time limits. Food was overpriced and at best average. No parking. To be fair the play area was good - kids had fun there though as explained below they didn't actually get much time to play. The worst part was the time limit, service and minimum spend. We booked ahead and neither the minimum spend nor time limit was even mentioned. The time limit is a strict 2 hours. Clock is ticking as soon as you go in. Some members of our group were late, and rather than extend some flexibility, they just kept coming over to ask if/when we wanted to order, reminding us that we would have to leave soon. The food we ordered, as overpriced as it was, did not reach the minimum spend of 480 NTD + 50 NTD service fee per adult and 280 NTD per child. As they were kicking us out right on the minute we reached two hours, they noted that we were still short of the minimum spend and encouraged us to order takeout - because we had to leave. Finally, the only good part - the play area - was supposed to be apart from the two hour time limit. They made a point of noting that the kids would have time to play after eating. They neglected to note, however, that at 4 pm they close the play area for cleaning, with 4 pm the time at which our eating time was up. So the kids got to play for no more than 15 minutes. Overall, a really disappointing experience. Highly recommend...
Read moreThis place has a 90min meal time limit from the time of your reservation. We were about 10min late and wasn’t known of this rule and with choosing what to eat, getting kids settled down, find parking, waiting in line to order the food and waiting for food, we ended up only have about 30-40min time to eat and felt rushed and disrespected. However, after we complaint, the manager came and settled this and were able to do something for us. The eating duration from start of reservation is definitely too short.
The play area on the second floor is large and nice though with many games for kids of different ages.
I suggest to change the time limit if you want...
Read moreWe recently visited 小島3.5° in Taichung for a family outing, and it was a delightful experience! The restaurant is designed with families in mind, offering a cozy, pastel-colored atmosphere that feels both inviting and relaxing. The dining area on the first floor was comfortable, and the menu featured a variety of delicious dishes with generous portions—perfect for both adults and kids.
The second floor is a paradise for children, equipped with a large ball pit, slides, and a quiet reading area, catering to kids of all ages. Our little one had so much fun, and the fact that the play area is unlimited in time made it even better.
We also appreciated the thoughtful facilities like the family restroom and nursing room, which added to the overall convenience. While the prices are slightly higher, the quality of the experience, including the friendly service, definitely made it worthwhile.
If you're planning to visit on a weekend, I recommend booking a table in advance since it gets quite popular. A perfect place for a family day...
