I'm honestly surprised by how this hotpot store is so successful given my lunch here was pretty lackluster with very poor service. It took us over 30 minutes after we received our vegetables and informed 3 different staff members our meat had not arrived for them to bring the meat dish. Apparently this was the only place on a Sunday at around 10am that we were able to make a reservation for 4 people. Other places were all booked up or we would have to wait for a while for a reservation.
Upon first impression, pretty spacious, two floors, nicely designed hotpot restaurant. We had these automated robots that carry food walk us to our table...in this day and age you can forgo this act. It's not that special anymore and even if they are still "cool" they move too slowly and just get in everyone's way. That's about all that's nice about this restaurant.
I wish I got a picture of the pre-made plate of hotpot ingredients, I only realized I forgot to take a picture after I dumped everything in. Everything is a preset order, so you order the broth and meat together as a combo and the hotpot ingredients are all the same regardless what combo you pick. You can pick additional ingredients at at a premium price a la carte. The reason I say premium is because 1/6th (that's being generous) of a cabbage head is 65 NTD...together with the Snow Beef combo I ordered it's almost 700 NTD...that's ridiculously expensive. Usually for this price, the meat is usually on the higher end but as you can see in the picture, it's nothing special. It took us 30 minutes after we received our vegetables to receive the meat. The only thing going for this place is it's clean, well designed and is very spacious for a hotpot restaurant.
I don't know why we came here to eat, it was not my choice. All I can do now is warn the rest of you who are even considering this place for hotpot to stay away. I cannot stress enough there are way better hotpot restaurants in regards to food quality, service and price to get your fix compared to here. The only thing you will appreciate here is the ample space, scenery and maybe cleanliness. If that is your priority in what makes a hotpot restaurant good, this place is for you. If you are like me and prefer to choose what actually matters when eating out such as food quality, service and price then please, help yourself and those who you may bring with you and avoid this place. Treat yourself and your company better, you...
Read moreHere you cannot pick up on your own the products you want, including meat, for everything there is an additional charge. The selection of drinks is meager, only two items, there is also no ice cream or dessert. The soup was tasty, the food is ordinary, the taste of meat is ordinary, nothing outstanding. The premises It’s clean, the waiters are very pleasant, the robot waiter in the form of a meowing cat is especially pleasing. There is no music in the hall and this is depressing, although there is excellent music playing in the restroom, it is not clear why it is not broadcast into the common room where visitors eat. In general, nothing outstanding, not I understand the hype around this restaurant, an ordinary hot pot that can accommodate a large...
