Cafe Joint 7分SO 大墩南店 — Restaurant in Taichung

Hi, this local joint is more of a Burger Place than a cafe just to be clear. But it opens at 8 am which is pleasant. Since most Cafe's open around 9 am here in Taichung. The prices for most meals range around 200-300 taiwan dollars which is to be expected for an american style meal. I can in the morning to get some work done and talk to someone Via skype. I wanted to sit on the couch in the front, but they asked me to move, because I was only one person despite the whole restaurant being completely empty, and remaining empty for an hour after that, which is mildly annoying. But completely understandable. Overall enjoyable experience, music is slightly to loud. But excellent place to work with plenty of outlets and decent food....

Came here with couple of friends and families, the restaurant blew us away as we didn’t expect to find such good burgers in Taiwan at this price range. Ordering burger is a must, milkshakes are very well flavored as well. Fries are okay, some are crispy some aren’t. The only biggest downside is that the restaurant only accepts cash, which is one of the major problem in Taiwan. Staffs are friendly and knows enough English to help you order food. Will definitely come back when we visit Taichung next...

The food is meh. It’s like a person who doesn’t know how to cook experimenting with food. The mushroom cream soup has raw celery inside… not onions? The burger’s lettuce was not fresh and the burger’s sauce was overwhelming. I was surprised to find such a highly reviewed place, but yeah.. Taiwan still can’t make a decent burger.
