XueTian Café — Restaurant in Taichung

I know, Taiwanese like coffeeshops nowadays, so to them it's probably a nice place. To me a coffee is standard, nothing special. So based on my Dutch standards I really think 3 stars is the max, maybe even a bit too much. As the owner was friendly, I still rounded it to a 3 stars.

That all being said, compared to other places in Taiwan their coffee is good. Too expensive, but richly flavoured.The applepie I ordered on the other hand wasn't. It was more like a lemon cake. Very sour and hardly could taste any cinnamon and maybe even more important, hardly any flavour of apple! The piece of pie was ridiculously small, especially when you see the price. 260 ntd for a small cup and a tiny pie makes it not a place for me to return. Even in Holland, which is in general much more expensive, I get a bigger cup, a bigger pie, a better environment and a lower price! For the size, in Holland it probably would be half this price or maybe even less. It's easy money and somewhat greedy, the profits...
