#Space Cafe’ 慶平店 — Restaurant in Tainan

As a foreigner from America I personally think that this cafe is one of the top three very best cafe’s in all of Tainan. I have lived in Tainan for some time now and I have tried many many different cafe’s and coffee shops in Tainan. I think there only two other cafe’s that I can think of that are as comfortable and that have a very well furnished environment. I think many cafe’s in Tainan rely on the old traditional look but it can also be an excuse to look a bit cheap and lazy. There are some other high end cafe’s in the Anping district and in other districts of Tainan but I do not think they are very comfortable nor do they feel very warm. I think Tainan struggles with finding the right balance of designing comfortable and high end interior design environments but this cafe does it exceptionally well. It is a very rare experience so I must give this place the 5 star rating and I hope more cafe’s will be able to reference this cafe for the quality and the excellence. The drink menu is also very unique and I hope they keep their non-dessert food items because it can be difficult to find a cafe in Tainan that has both amazing dessert items and non-dessert items like their pork chop dish. Everything thing I tried including the coffee was very unique and special. It does not feel like they are trying to be super unique or special like some other cafe’s that are trying too hard to be different. The taste of the dessert and coffee items were very well done. It feels like you can actually taste the quality of all the items. The lady who was making all the coffee today is incredibly professional and well trained and well mannered. She really makes the cafe feel like a high end establishment and I believe she has a gift of hospitality. Not everyone can do what she does so I hope that she does not burn out. I don’t know why she is the only one who is making coffee for everyone but there needs to be someone else making coffee as well otherwise the wait time maybe too long and I can foresee some impatient customers who will be complaining in the future. I’m writing this review because I am very grateful to see a cafe like this open in Tainan. It may be a little expensive for some but it is completely worth it...

Eigentlich waren unsere Erwartungen hoch, auf jeden Fall positiv gespannt. Doch wie enttäuschend verlief bereits der Eintritt: 2x mussten wir klingeln bevor uns überhaupt geöffnet wurde, Begrüßung war auch so cool, so dass ich den Eindruck hatte, nicht wirklich willkommen zu sein. Diese coole Atmosphäre setzte sich im Speise- bzw. Ausstellungsraum fort, was nicht nur an der - für mein Gefühl zu kalt eingestellten Klimaanlage - lag. Bei 12 Grad Celsius Außentemperatur war es von der Bedienung schon zuvorkommend, dass sie uns einen Platz an der Theke zuwies, wo es nicht so kalt war. Dafür bekamen wir dort einen Einblick in die organisatorische Bewältigung des Geschirr-Abwaschens. Nicht nur benutzte, mit Essensresten ‚verzierte‘ Teller waren dort unmittelbar vor uns platziert. Auch startete - nachdem wir unsere Gerichte erhalten hatten - lautstark die Spülaktion. Handarbeit 👍! Das Essen wurde relativ zeitnah aufgetaut und dann auch serviert. Geschmacklich für mich nicht so sensationell, wie von anderen beschrieben. Vielleicht bin ich ja zu alt für solche Konzepte, aber ein Willkommens Gruß bzw. ein freundliches Wort, oder selbst ein Lächeln 🤭, sind für mich Merkmale, die ich hier, neben einer wirklichen Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienenden, sehr vermisst habe. Manchmal kann wenig sogar noch...

藏身在安平某棟建築二樓的咖啡店，印象中外面沒有招牌 🤔 要不是看到 IG 介紹我應該根本不知道那邊會有間咖啡店

咖啡店一樓是賣家具的，二樓其實也是，只是店家跟家具店租了一塊空間來經營，進去咖啡店需要按電鈴，滿奇妙的 😏 然後消費的時候二樓旁邊家具店的展示空間是可以進去參觀、試坐沙發、椅子等 （不過那些看就知道不便宜啦 乾🤣 應該都是設計師家具）

回到咖啡店，店家說他們是以藝妓招牌，也有其他單品、茶、鍋煮奶茶等等，菜單的咖啡價格都是 300 起跳的，藝妓是 500 起跳，價格偏高，不過原因之一是點了都會（強迫）附上甜點，和菓子為主，也有布丁，所以以正常外面點咖啡加甜點來看的話應該差不多，只是這邊沒得選一定要有甜點🙄

我們都點冰的單品，我媽點熱的鍋煮奶茶，這邊單品冰的是用比較耗功夫及時間的冰鎮，就是咖啡沖完會擺在冰塊裡面讓它降溫，我相信店家一定有他的理由和堅持，只是這樣真的有點久就是，也許可以讓顧客選擇不同的方式來做冰的，至於味道我那天挑到的我不是很喜歡，但咖啡本身我認為是沒有問題的，店家也是會幫你用冰的杯子來裝，有用心的

甜點的布丁滿好吃，口感是我喜歡的紮實的，最近實在吃滿多都是像奶酪那種口感的布丁快暈到🤣...
