An intimate and incredible dining experience tucked away in the side-streets of Tainan. Los Angeles flair delivered with a Taiwanese charm. High quality ingredients lovingly prepared into stunning dishes beautifully presented. The lamb a personal favorite. Clearly a contender for the best restaurant in Tainan; wouldn't be out of place in Taipei, Hong Kong, or Singapore...
Staff were top-notch and the Chef presented each course with a humble and friendly neighborhood feel; absolutely without pretension, only an abundance of quality. Paired dinner with a sake selection, expertly chosen by the team. Very impressed.
To international guests: Absolutely make this place a stop on your trip. They do two sittings (1745/1945 - check!) and only do twelve seats, so make sure you call in advance to avoid disappointment. The staff speak English and will help you out. They only take cash (It's Tainan!) so make sure you bring enough. Uber either way is easy, or you can catch a cab on the street outside the restaurant.
Very strong recommendation to anyone visiting; this is what Tainan does so incredibly well. Hats off to the Chef and his team; visit before it gets famous!

Each layers used different ingredients and came with surprise. The soup was awesome. The main was pork the pork was really tender. I ordered duck breast for extra, its sauce was very unique. Read more小巧的店面,只有大約10人的吧台座位,桌面有些太淺容易卡到膝蓋;因為是吧台座所以直接由廚師們上菜和解說,主廚口條蠻好也健談,但副廚就有點緊張感,說菜也小聲了些;餐點以餐盒的形式呈現,另有一些單點菜色,整體以亞洲風味為主,品質蠻好且價格平易近人,就是甜點有些過於簡單;另外整個用餐時間只有接近1.5小時,很適合飯後再續攤跑酒吧😆。
第一層餐盒 4種冷前菜 親子惡魔蛋 土雞蛋/魚子醬/低溫雞胸 雞胸雖切得小塊但仍有點彈性,蛋香蠻好,喜歡一點酸菜點綴的口感和酸香。
卡布里沙拉 番茄/莫札瑞拉起司/九層塔 風乾番茄的鮮味不錯。
秘魯醃魚 現流鮮魚/萊姆/米香 入口是百香果香氣,魚肉本身意外不酸,而是把酸味移到醃漬的蘿蔔和玉米筍上,點綴一點米香的脆口
梅汁拌麵 梅子味濃,蕎麥麵口感鬆散了些。
飛吉島釀造 烏焙桑椹康普茶 特別提一下飲料,入口透出桑椹的苺果香,尾韻的茶香和碳焙風味也強,應該是印象中最好喝的瓶裝康普茶。
