台南 庫肯花園 早午餐 晚餐 — Restaurant in Tainan

This European style cafe / restaurant was quite a surprise to find. It's hidden off the main street 大學路 (Da Xue Rd) down a bit of a dark alley. The staff were skilled in English. The menu had pictures and was also bilingual (Chinese and English). So, the customer who didn't speak a word of Chinese would have no problems getting by. The place is very spacious inside, which is unexpected just from looking at the outside. With proper reservation, the place could accommodate large parties of 10 or more.

The menu had mostly Italian pasta dishes with a few steaks. The pasta was cooked al dente (firm but not hard) which is exactly how I prefer pasta. I tried the penne pasta in tomato sauce with meatballs. The meat balls were rather good and actually made from ground beef. There was a bit of cheese inside the meat ball though which was an unusual surprise.

The meal came as a set with unlimited french bread (toasted), corn soup, Japanese style cake and a drink. The set meals let you pick any drink on the menu which is nice. The iced caramel milk tea was superb, not too sweet.

All in all the price was reasonable, under NT $500 for two people. I swiped a bunch of business cards and will definately recommend this place to all my friends.

For the simplicity of the food (Italian dishes), I would have expected it either to be a little better or a little cheaper. I had the pork steak, which was fair in taste but tough a little tough in texture. My wife had a chicken mushroom pesto which had a decent flavor, but the meat was grisly. The soup was actually pretty good, as was the brownie dessert. Overall, not bad, but I wouldn't go...

今天是個烈日當空的午後，本是要去台南千代庵的日本和菓子琥珀糖找あや醬，很可惜她不在，卻意外發現在這巷子裡的一個很美的花園餐廳叫做“庫肯”♡ 今天我點了〔帕馬森牛肝菌菇麵〕 ，原本是燉飯，但我偏愛麵條類。 +229選了今天庫肯的主廚濃湯配上擁有（白茉莉、佛手柑、紅綠茶香氣的1854招牌茶）♡餐後甜點選了＜手作烤布蕾＞。 家人點的主餐是酥烤鮮嫩雞腿排，請原諒我沒拍照，雞腿排很厚實卻恰到好處鮮嫩多汁，輕輕一口咬下，肉的間隙間還有微微的肉汁，配上點綴的淡淡橙香還有淡淡的起司味，真心好吃到爆表！ 1854招牌茶本來我點冰的，味道非常的清爽去膩，可是要感受到它真正的香氣必須點熱茶才准，於是我在吃飽後又點了一壺熱茶，美麗金黃通透的茶色像是流動的琥珀，淡淡的佛手柑混合著白茉莉的香氣，想起我昨晚喝到超商的便宜香精茉莉，是兩個完全不同的世界，入喉是舒適淡雅的茶香，配合周遭午後寧靜的氛圍，讓人真心覺得夏日午後的愜意，無論是冰茶還是熱茶都有那種令人舒爽的感覺，不會有苦澀的感覺。 帕瑪森牛肝菌菇飯，沒錯，本來是飯，可是我想吃麵，畢竟每間店的牛桿菌菇麵或飯表達它鮮美的方式都不同於是我選擇了細麵，但我覺得我應該是要選擇飯的，做出來成品非常好吃裡面還放了清爽的水煮蘆筍讓我很驚艷，畢竟燉飯燉麵類都是注重醬汁的比例調配，我覺得在鹹味有些許的淡卻不影響餐點的美味程度，甚至我點了日式雞唐揚，配上雞唐揚酥脆的麵衣混合著燉麵的醬汁恰到好處的微鹹，或著可以用雞唐揚沾好原本的醬在卷上麵一起品嚐，也是非常美味的事。 很抱歉，我也沒拍雞唐揚的照片，不得不說，外出吃飯時最怕遇到炸到乾澀的雞肉或是烤乾的雞腿排，但在這一切都不會發生，鮮嫩多汁的雞肉口感，無論是炸的還是烤的，都美味的讓人心醉。 在這還有一整櫃美麗的酒，跟吧檯，也許有天我會拉著好友在飯後來這小酌幾杯♡ 如果您喜歡寧靜的感覺，可以避開用餐巔峰，好好的去享受一個愜意的午後。晚上是滿滿的定位，也很適合家族聚餐或是好友聚餐，甚至謝師宴等等，聞著隔壁食物的香氣，我忍著不去看是什麼美味，因為我想下次再來探索這本美味的菜單，上面琳琅滿目的美食，加上那入口即化的手作布蕾真心是讓人醉心不已。 期待下次的美味碰撞，相信每個人的感受都是不一樣的，可以參考我的評論，在親自來這裏享受你的美食盛宴吧，分享，可以讓世界在這緊迫又疲憊的時間裡，找到屬於自己的忙裡偷閒♡！ 另外，它們的廁所對女性真的非常友好，有寶寶的人來這，也很方便，廁所會是我列入評比重要一環，整潔乾淨的廁所，少那些可怕的...
