Louisa Coffee (Tainan Huaping) — Restaurant in Tainan

This coffee shop is huge and has lots of table space and outlets so 10/10 for doing work and coffee is not bad, but gotta dock off some stars for SERVICE....and bathroom cleanliness.

Ordered a mochaccino from the short, orange/blonde hair employee with glasses and asked to make it less sweet (I always ask this at coffee shops, this is not a peculiar request). She bluntly responded "it's already sweet and has sugar." I tell her I'm aware it has sugar, which is why I'm asking for less....and she tells me how there's chocolate in the drink as if I didn't know. I tell her to just add less chocolate and she finally agrees...LOL. Also if you don't live here (like us), they refuse to call a taxi for you (a basic service that every other cafe/restaurant in Tainan has done for us). We spent around 25 minutes stuck there googling how to call one due to this!

The bathroom is noticeably older than the rest of the store and the grossest part is they use a BAR SOAP for handsoap. Esp in COVID, I'm not trying to touch other people's hand germs while washing my hands. Please get a normal...

I do not live permanently in Taiwan so I usually ask the restaurant /café to call a taxi for me (and so far, none of them have said “no”)

We asked this orange/blond haired employee at the counter to call us a taxi during rush hour; she said that they don’t provide that service. Maybe it’s company policy? I don’t know, I would have expected a reputable place like Louisa to help us with such a simple request. We clearly were struggling and spent 20-25 minutes in front of the counter trying to figure out how to call a taxi ourselves (and failed) - I wish they could have offered to help us.

We luckily noticed a taxi that had stopped across the street and ran after it.

The café itself is a nice, comfortable place to do work, but the service is meh. Also the bathroom bar soap is kinda gross..esp...
