Oro Cafe — Restaurant in Tainan

A very nice and pleasant restaurant, known for its brunch option. Unfortunately, the service is not the best, which spoils the experience of this restaurant. The food was really good! The beef burger is recommendable and tasted really good. The lasagne was not as rich, but still good and recommendable. The coffee was ok, but nothing special. The thick toast with milk cream was very good! Serving was very very slow. And took for 3 dishes almost an hour. The first coffee came after 30minutes, the second one after 45minutes and third one got forgotten at all. After reminding the free coffee Was with us in give minutes. The dessert was served before the main dishes. The restaurant was not crowded and with us there have been 3 more groups with each 4 people on site as we arrived. I mean the restaurant is known for brunch, but that should not mean, that customers have to wait and keep waiting for simple dishes or even a coffee. Waiters have been eating, drinking and chatting with each other most of the time. All in all, a pleasant restaurant if you don't focus on the service. Unfortunately, the service is not what you would expect from a business that actually lives from its customers and has to make money... But it seems to work without service. As the saying goes... The food and beverages are good, and the price is fair. The interior decor is nice and the seating is comfortable. The service staff, however, isn't great. They are not rude, just very matter-of-fact and regimental. The head barista person received us and after I told her we were dining in and the number of people in my party, she said a whole bunch of things that I didn't catch. Turns out that she wasn't speaking to us, she's ordering her staff to seat us. The way she didn't make eye contact with the people she was actually talking to was very confusing. We sat at the bar and the whole time we had to endure her militaristic command to her staff. It just wasn't a pleasant experience. It wasn't bad, a managerial staff has to do her managerial job. Mixed experience. The place itself is nice. I’ve found it strange that I have to go to the second floor for the men’s bathroom but fine. It’s a chill place where you can work.

The drink was below average. It was either too sweet or too sour. Also, after I’ve paid, they’ve forgot to bring me the change so I had to ask it. That’s not a problem but they haven’t even apologized for it, like it was something normal.
