A Sad Brownie

I don’t really care for Starbucks’ coffee, but I have come to enjoy their sandwiches and desserts in different parts of the world. However, it seems the quality has been decreasing steadily.

Nowhere does this decline seem as evident as in Taiwan. Today I got a brownie that looked old, dry and sad. You can get a much better brownie at Burger King so why come to Starbucks?

Also, their other desserts taste very much subpar and can in no way compete with what’s being served at McCafes. The pasta is dry and tastes like rubber. And not only here but in other Starbucks locations in Taiwan.

If you like the coffee, there is a very nice terrace here overlooking a park (quite a rare example of open air seating in Taiwan). But I just cannot recommend their food. Five stars for the terrace, one star for food...
