Uncle Pete's Pizza — Restaurant in Taitung City

OK pizza that took forever. I enjoy supporting small local businesses where ever we travel and this is certainly one, but I hope this review helps to step up their game. We arrived hungry with our young kids shortly after opening; there were just two other tables being served, one of them just got their pizza. We ordered two pizzas and waited patiently. My mom ordered a hot tea that was hardly hot, but whatever, this is about pizza. The second table gets their pizza so certainly we’re next to get ours, right? It’s not busy in there with 3 staffers working. 40 minutes pass and by now everyone else including the staff is eating pizza. Even the guy hand tossing the pizza is chomping on slices in between making pies! I wish I took a photo. We finally get our first pizza, it’s eaten in 5 minutes; it was just ok, we were starving, the crust was crisp and airy, but dry, the cheese was a cheddar mozzarella mix, sauce was bland, toppings were not generous, but where is our other pizza? Two more tables are filled, both tables eventually get their pizzas. Where is our other pizza? 1.5 hours pass from the time we arrived and we finally get our second pizza...again just ok, but why did the pizzas come out in such an off order? Maybe the staff was too busy eating their own pizza to pay any attention to us. I took one star away for terrible non-attentive service, one for marginal pizza, and one for how long it took. Uncle Pete’s Pizza is one of my favorite space to go with friends. The attitude of service is great, and Peter, the owner of the pizzeria is usual there playing banjo, singing country songs of America, or hosting customers passionately. As a customer there, I feel happy and satisfied. The atmosphere is peaceful. Besides, the interior design is unique, because almost everything was made by Peter. What’s more, they’ve got a classical piano there, allowing customers to play without having to worry about anything. Sometimes, on Saturdays, there are several singers there, giving a performance. You could just take away or sit in and finish your pizza in the store They are mainly wood fried and really cheesy, u also have the option of thin it thick crust, also vegetarian is available, the pizzas are not so expensive, and not so cheap, they Re at their correct spots
