慢食堂 — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

I had the pleasure of visiting 慢食堂 in Taoyuan with my family on October 5, 2023. The decor of the place is simple yet modern, creating a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for conversations.

One of our highlights was the shaved ice - truly a treat for the taste buds. Conveniently, there is also ample parking space in the vicinity, which adds to the overall ease and comfort of the visit.

What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The owner and his wife, who is from Japan, were extremely nice and welcoming. It made us feel right at home.

A retro shredded ice dessert shop in Taoyuan city, reminded me of my grandparents place when I saw the window glass, that transparent but somehow familiar pattern with wooden window frame really brought back memories.

The Hojicha shredded ice dessert was a great treat. Opulent and pleasant tea flavour that was not overly sweet, a scoop of hojicha ice cream also given as well as stick rice ball, tea jelly and red bean. Smooth, chewy, icy and delicious.

@tamaice 是已經放在口袋名單內好久的小店，終於在期待已久的有朋自遠方來時派上用場，同樣身為#抹茶控 ，當然要找一間有各種抹茶可以選擇的地方吃下午茶囉！尤其又結合🇯🇵日系&老宅的元素，全部都是我的菜呀～❤️ ［🍮小小冰與布丁組合］選擇定番口味的宇治金時，圓滾滾的球狀刨冰上，淋滿了濃濃的抹茶醬&蜜紅豆，最上頭再放上白玉&抹茶凍，雖然是迷你版但該有的一樣都沒少，層次十分豐富。焦糖布丁綿密滑嫩，焦糖香交織著最純粹的奶蛋香，超好吃！😋 ［🍵餅入抹茶冰淇淋紅豆湯］是超級大推的必點品項，在現刷還冒著細緻泡沫的抹茶湯中，浮著一整球抹茶冰淇淋😍，還有一塊烤得恰到好處、蓬鬆軟糯、一口咬下還會牽絲的烤麻糬，再加上少許蜜紅豆點綴，呈現最道地的日本風情。 ———💸——— ◽️小小冰與布丁組合 $170 ◽️餅入抹茶冰淇淋紅豆湯 $130 ◽️雙球冰淇淋 $120 ［🍨雙球冰淇淋］一球是抹茶口味，另一球則是🍓草莓萊姆雪酪，顏色鮮豔繽紛，附上一小碟白玉以及一杯熱茶，交替著品嚐一點都不膩口。童話般可愛的擺盤療癒感十足，還沒開動只是單純看著就能帶來愉悅的好心情。
