Beautiful restaurant, with a special vault leading to the dry age room and a display of the freshest seafood from Yilan for the evening. What I also like about this place is the lighting, it is great for taking food photos.

Their combination of local and western ingredients often felt either too one sided or conflicting in taste, especially the Taiwanese gua bao (white bun with pork and fried bean curds) where they tried to merge iberico ham with local Taiwanese ingredients. That dish was a disaster, especially when they used cheap square cheese straight out of the factory. That’s big turn off for me. If you’re even going to attempt at going fusion, at least do some homework in finding out which cheese goes well with iberico ham. But using cheap walmart grade cheese? Come on!
