I've noticed the decline in quality both food- and service-wise. It's really sad that it used to be my favorite pasta place as a kid. I remember going there with my grandma. This was the few places that my grandma would voluntarily asked for french fries because it was just so good. Near the end of each meal, the server would come over to our table and genuinely ask about how we feel toward the dishes. As my grandma is getting older and more knee pain, climbing up the stairs becomes really challenging thus we go there less often. My latest visit was a week ago and I couldn't believe i could get even more disappointed. Our dishes weren't served at the same time but like 20 mins off. I've finished most of my dish by the time my sister got hers. And the portion was pretty small even with extra noodle. Perhaps it's my grandma's good vibe that delighted our dining experience but i believe the creativity and magic embedded in the food and the service are the keys as well. In addition, the coupons you get for your birthday (free meal A upgrade, a free side dish, and a free dessert) through ocard is very worth it. With them, the amount I spent changed from 430 to about 190. Finally, while they do charge a 10% service fee, their service is great. The staff are very attentive and willing to answer any questions.
