I’m told Japanese owner - always a good sign for Japanese food 🍱 [second visit] perfect sashimi but one tuna sushi the rice fell apart - ganbatte! And only had pepper available - disappointed they didn’t have the wonderful S&B combined pepper and salt sprinkler - I love that stuff. So some perfect, some can improve. This is not only my favorite neighborhood spot but my favorite sushi joint in Taipei! The sushi is fresh, well prepared, and flavorful without needing any extra frills. You can’t go wrong with their sushi or sashimi, but if you want something more substantial, I highly recommend the salmon donburi (鮭魚親子丼）which comes with delicious miso soup. Their side salad (野菜沙拉) goes really well with that too. I’d also recommend their seared scallop sushi.

This place is very popular with locals, so a reservation is recommended. We came here shortly after noon on a weekday and we were seated immediately despite the restaurant was basically full.
