KAKIGORI TOSHIHIKO — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

Consistently one of the best shaved ice shops in Taipei. It's a little more expensive than more traditional shops, but they have unique flavors and each serving has layers and is made with a lot of care. I have tried a number of their flavors and while my favorite is usually three cheese and berries (seasonal with either strawberries or raspberries), I tried the citrus cream cheese today and it was amazing. My friend ordered the strawberry coconut and it was also really good. This is a quiet shop and seating is more limited so it's easier to come during less busy times. Nice ambiance place. Very good place to sit down and chill. The shaved ice is amazing and some of the best I've ever had. Great consistency on the ice (although it melts quite fast). Fruits are fresh and the shaved ice is not overly sweet or watered down. I've only tried the citrus and the three cheese and they're both good although the citrus is heavenly. Really kind and patient staff, took the time to show us pictures of many of the shaved ice options since we were a mostly English speaking group. A table became available for our group of 5 just as we arrived, so we were fortunate, but not a large space so be prepared to wait if busy.
