漁市大眾食堂（竹北店） — Restaurant in Zhubei City

It is a Japanese restaurant which offers quite good food. There is no English menu which is not so foreigner friendly but the food is really nice. It seems the chef likes extra thick pieces of fish and big chunks of wasabi for every sashimi sushi dish, which isn't bad but can be a surprise. They also provide a sweet red bean soup as a dessert. The staff aren't particularly friendly or smiley, but they aren't bad either. Finally, it's also affordable, for Japanese cuisine, with a decent meal starting at around TWD 200. At last, it is better to go there on foot or by scooter because it is not possible to park easily nearby. Anyway, the restaurant is worth a visit for those who love...

I was not impressed by this restaurant. I didn't think the customer service was mature. I asked for a bowl but the waitress seemed to not understand and expected me to use the rice bowl with rice. I will not come back again. The price you could get better food...
