This place is excellent!! All of the staff (the females) were extremely kind. The guys weren't as polite. When we were choosing the menu the waitresses helped us, even though we couldn't read Chinese.

The prices were so cheap! In Vancouver, this would easily be over $80. The tokiya set is 580NTD here. That's literally $20 CAD.

When the food came, we were astonished. Not only was the presentation fantastic, but the taste was exquisite.

We signed up for a birthday deal and they were kind enough to do the birthday ritual for us! It was so cute. They got the mini birthday cheesecake too. And the manager who was so far, the nicest person there, sang the birthday song.

Afterwards she even took photos and developed them immediately. We got 3 copies. It's so heartwarming seeing them have service to this extent.

It was such a happy evening.

I would like to give 呂小姐 (Miss Lu) probably the manager, a huge shoutout. She has been the kindest out of the bunch. She was the one who explained each dish and gave us recommendations.

She had a cold but she even sang my brother a birthday song and presented him a birthday cake, a silly birthday hat that made us burst out laughing, as well as printed photos even though we signed up for it literally right before our meal. That was a huge bonus.

While we were enjoying ourselves I looked around and noticed we were the only ones left in the store. I glanced down at my watch and realized that if was past closing hours. But the staff weren't rushing us out.

Have now tried to eat dinner at this restaurant 3 times only to get turned away. The first time we came right before closing at 9:40, they said they were closed, understandable since it was pretty close to closing time

Second time we came at 9:25, they said they were closed for the evening even though there website and their restaurant hours on the door clearly state they close at 10.

Lastly we tried to come tonight at 8:54 only to get turned away once again telling us they were closed.

I don’t know why a restaurant would state they were open until 10 and turn people away an hour before this time, if you STOP TAKING TABLES at 9, that should be your closing time and the closing time listed on your website, online and on your door hours in order not to confuse tourists that have to take a taxi to your restaurant or walk half a mile with an injury only to get turned...
