Took a trip back to Taiwan with my husband to treat families about 20 people for our marriage celebration. Wanted a buffet place so everyone can enjoy different types of cuisines.
Found the place super crowded upon opening and not elderly in wheelchair or people with accessibility friendly. You actually have to stand in line to get certain specialty food so by the time you’re done, you only get one scallop and one piece of short rib for one person after a few minutes wait. I couldn’t even get extra orders for my aunt in wheelchair or my sister who had special needs. They tell you have to call a service personnel for that.
Food variety was ok, same as other buffets, mostly specialty items were pretty good but since it’s not accessibility friendly, once you help your family get food and go back a few time, I literally only had a chance to taste 50% of what was presented plus eating time.
The place is too packed and tables are small and too close together, no large tables for larger families. Mainly had to wait in line for everything. 3 hours would go by so fast and barely had the chance to try half the menu and it’s time to go. You had to get in line to get soda or drinks, can’t just grab and go.
Although some food was good, would not be going back to this place as there were other buffet places more spacious and relaxing for larger parties.
Seriously you have to be aggressively fast to go out there get in line get food eat fast and repeat. This was the main downside. Just too crowded. I only had the chance to take a few photos at the end when everyone was almost gone.
They also had trouble charging foreign credit cards, they couldn’t figure out how to do foreign exchange which they didn’t need to, most credit card companies would do the foreign exchange for them as they need to just charge whatever they need to in NT, took about 20-30 minutes just to get the payment done and amount right and back and fourth 3 times. It should be simple just charge and the credit card company will figure it out. Don’t need to ask if you want to...
Read moreThis is an excellent large scale buffet with plenty of choice especially for seafood lovers. Probably the best of the buffets in the greater Hsinchu area this is definitely the place to come if how have a large appetite and want a wide variety of food.
The quality is what you’d expect from a good large buffet i.e. very good but not amazing. It’s certainly not cheap, but there is a lot for the money from crabs and muscles to roast beef and freshly grilled fish. Some of the standouts were the fried prawns which were so fresh they could have walked to the table on their own.
The one warning is it’s really crowded in terms of waiting before hand (line up get your ticket in front of the counter on the left then join the line on the right). And also busy at the start of the meal when everyone goes a bit crazy for the fresh sashimi etc
There is alcohol included in the recipe price: beer and some cocktails. Personally I found the cocktails a very similar and very sweet, more sugary than alcohol. If you want you can pay extra for sake, but I don’t see anyone doing that. Personally I would like to see a wider mix of drinks eg some sangria or something with mixers.
Service has been good both times I’ve been - both fast and efficient.
One thing that I think stands out and is often ignored is the interior design which creates a lovely atmosphere.
Overall, a good buffet experience at quite a high price, but definitely worth it if that’s what you’re...
Read moreHad dinner here for my birthday dinner on 6/22. Food was amazing, atmosphere is clean and aesthetic. But sadly I got a bad diarrhea & high fever on 6/23 morning (until the whole day) 😭 Not 100% sure that this is caused by the dinner, or it could be that I have sensitive stomach on that day. I don’t have any food allergies whatsover and usually OK with all kinds of food, so may be I’m guessing it could be from the hygine level of the fish/crabs?
Service was super good! Loved my time here, but customer who have underlying sensitive stomach may need to be a bit careful with the...
