味中味 — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

It is a really good and reasonably priced Chinese restaurant in Dar. It is located in the second "Chinatown" compounds in Mikocheni while coming from Bagamoyo Rd. They also have a branch in Palm Village Mall (I haven't been there yet though).

Our chinese friend ordered for all of us, so I am not sure what each dish is called. We had a dish of gluten and peanuts, a chicken and mixed veg dish, a pastry of glass noodles and herbs, and a pork stew. The food was absolutely delicious!! It was reasonably priced. Our order took longer to come though, because of a mix up.

The service wasn't great. The waiters didn't know what each dish contained and messed up our order despite having written it down. My Chinese friend had to go to the manager and argue quite a bit in Mandarin to get what we had originally ordered. Although the menu has English descriptions, I was told it is not exactly accurate.
