Mayfair Hotel, Mikocheni — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

The good: Of all the hotels I have stayed in Tanzania and all of Africa, for some reason this hotel had the most friendly and also helpful staff. The location is nice: within 10 to 20m and 3'000 to 6'000 Shilling you can go almost any where in the city. Right across the road is a hospital for covid tests. The rooms are large enough for the price. The gym is nice

The not so good (but ok given the price): The hotel itself is not air conditioned, only the rooms - so, whenever you leave your room,you feel the heat. The breakfast will make you full, but is nothing special. There is a very faint smell of sewage in the pool area as noted by others; however I would not say worse than what you would expect in any large city in a frontier...

Hotel is good.Rooms also good.Car Parking available here. Receptionist is very helpful. All staff is nice guys ... Free Wi-Fi available here .. This hotel location is very nice. And main market is just distance.. I am traveling first time India to Tanzania and stayed here ... Overall experience was gooood. Love you Tanzania ..........Love you...

It's ok if you have work around the area otherwise it's a bit too far from the main town and beach. The Room is basic to say the least and i had to make sure i got a room with a working Air conditioner. TV is basic as everything else. Breakfast is ok, again basic to say the least. Would have changed hotels if i was staying longer in...
