The best Indonesian food in Tanzania. The food is so good, it feels home. Food portion was big enough, tasted very nice, server was friendly, price is affordable and fast service! They also have vegetarian options. The spice level on the food can be adjusted by request. The Resturant is bit tricky to find if you follow the google map. It is near George and dragon by a small alley where there are umbrellas hanging. It’s basically a food court with other small variety of food shops. Danau Toba is on the right side when you go inside by the ally. Ideal for family/friends or group hang out. Highly recommended! It is my new favorite restaurant in Dar now and I hope the quality of the food and service continues like this. Also note that every Saturday and Sunday they have special dishes that they usually don’t serve on weekdays/not in the menu. So feel free to check their Facebook page for the weekend specials.

Authentic Indonesian restaurant in Dar. The current chefs were taught by an Indonesian chef whk used to stay there for a few good years. Special highlights on the following: 1. Ketoprak (Indonesian-styled salad with tofu, cucumber, vermicelli, rice cake, sprouts, topped with sweet-garlicky peanut sauce and crackers). The peanut sauce was spot on. 2. Mie goreng / tek tek (Javanese-style wok-fried noodle glazed with Indonesian sweet soy sauce). The "wok hey" (smokiness from wok-frying) really came thru. Noodles were delightfully springy. 3. Indonesian-style plain iced tea. Go get it & taste the fragrant tea leaves. 4. Bakso (beef meatball soup). The soup was flavourful yet light. The beef balls had nice chewy bounce.

The best and only authentic Indonesia restaurant in Tanzania. I ordered fried rice (nasi goreng), tempe mendoan, and ice cendol. They make it directly after the customer ordered, so its served fresh. The price is affordable, just €5 for the nasi goreng, meanwhile tempe mendoan only €2, and €2.5 for the ice cendol. It’s quite cheap for the meal price, because this place is located in Masaki, an elite area in Dar, where most of expatriates were living. The quality of food and how it’s prepared to the customer are good and quick. Love this place.

As an indonesian myself, I would rate this restaurant 4.9 out of 5.0 The ayam geprek is a cure to my homesick and sate ayam is good. The only thing is the ayam mendoan imho a bit too dry and should have been served with green chili ;) The service is great, relatively fast and waiters were responsive. The owner is hand on and cares about the quality of food as well as training her staff. I have lived around the world and understood how difficult it is to cook authentic given the scarcity of the spices. But this, I would go back for the...
