I recently had a delighful experience of dining at a charming Turkish restaurant that not only offered delicious food but also provided a unique twist with its coffee and lemon poppy cake. From the moment I stepped into the establishment, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that set the stage for a memorable culinary experience.
The restaurant's menu featured a delightful selection of Turkish cuisine, showcasing the rich flavors and diverse culinary traditions of the region. From traditional mezes to hearty main courses, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The attentive staff guided me through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that my dietary preferences were accommodated.
Now, let's talk about the coffee. The Turkish coffee served at this restaurant was an absolute highlight. The aroma wafting from the freshly brewed coffee was tantalizing, and the rich, bold flavor exceeded my expectations. The coffee was expertly prepared, presenting a harmonious balance of bitterness and sweetness. It was truly a sensory delight, and I found myself savoring every sip.
As for the lemon poppy cake, it was a true revelation. The cake had a light and fluffy texture, and the tangy lemon flavor was beautifully complemented by the delicate crunch of poppy seeds. The presentation was elegant, and each bite was a burst of citrusy goodness. Paired with a cup of Turkish coffee, it made for a delightful combination of flavors.
Aside from the exceptional food and beverages, the service at this Turkish restaurant was outstanding. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their cuisine. They took the time to explain the origins and unique characteristics of each dish, adding a layer of depth to the overall dining experience. I felt genuinely cared for throughout my visit.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was another noteworthy aspect. The cozy outdoor was adorned with cute garden ambience, creating a welcoming and authentic ambiance making me work quietly with Laptop works. Soft background music added to the overall charm. In summary, my experience at this Turkish restaurant offering coffee and lemon poppy cake was truly memorable. The delicious food, particularly the Turkish coffee and lemon poppy cake, exceeded my expectations. The attentive service, inviting atmosphere, and genuine passion for Turkish cuisine added to the overall charm of the place. If you're looking for a unique and delightful dining experience, I highly recommend giving this...
Read moreThere's nothing fast about this Istanbul Turkish "fast food," as they call it, and almost nothing good about this place, in general.
The first thing i tried to order, I was told it would require 25 minutes. The second and third choices? . . . . I was told 15. I settled on my fourth choice, of which I was told 10 minutes. When it arrived almost 20 minutes later, it was cold. At the end of the meal the waiter took my plates and so could see that i was completely finished but would not ask about or bring the check until i notified her. She unnecessarily asked if i was paying by card when that was already obvious because i was holding it out in front her. She walked away, said nothing, and left me holding it. A few minutes later a Turkish guy came and she handed him the card. He was working on that with the machine for more than ten minutes, AND I AM NOT EVEN LYING OR JOKING. Nobody, including the turkish guy, said a word to me about what was happening. Finally, a manager, who had long since disappeared before my food arrived, came to me, gave me a very weak apology, and handed me the card and receipt in a flippant way.
This experience was actually not a lot worse than it normally is here. This will probably be my last time here.
The servers are lazy; passive-aggressive; talk low so you cannot understand them; are not willing to answer questions directly with a yes or no; and then ask you about things that most people would find obvious. Lastly, I have been to the city of Istanbul three times, also through other regions of Turkey, and the flavour of this food is very weak compared to most restaurants in "Istanbul," as they call it. I am even told by the manager that the owner is from Istanbul. What is he really trying to do here, especially for these high prices? Food from other countries is limited in Tanzania, but I get much better tasting food at Indian restaurants in town center, Dar Es Salaam for less than half the price of this Istanbul restaurant. Shame...
Read moreI would like to give better feedback but unfortunately it was very disappointing. High price for very very small portions. Noisy place at the road but they tried the best with live music and decoration. As vegan it was very hard to get answers from service what's in the food. My fresh fruit juice (orange) was not available. Sadly. Than they brought me first my food not together and it was not like in menu card. Falafel was ordered but got only five small balls on my plate for 10,000tzs. No salad, nothing. I just wanted it without sauce and for the price really confusing. Then they took it and gave me a bit salad but still didn't look like on menu card. A small difference would be ok, but it looked completely different. Better to buy some kachori street food. The veggie burger was also very small with maybe 20 or max. 30 pieces of chips. No salt, no salad. Nothing. While eating they even tried to take my plate back but i had still a bit food on it. They didn't ask if i've finished and when i get small portions and pay a lot (relatively) than i would like to enjoy the food in my way and eat it in my speed without being stressed. But i know it's hard to get good service stuff. I felt i would talk to robots and machines. Additionally after payment i needed to wait few minutes for exchange because of technically issues or just delays. Not sure. So i was very happy as i left finally. I thought it would be a nice location for dating or anything but for me not the right place. I think despite of my bad experiences the owner is a professional and trying to do his best but his stiff seemed very stressed and exhausted. But for the current prices and this bad service it's a disappointment for me. The taste was good and ok not more. Maybe a bit better but not good enough for that prices. Hope everybody will have better experience there. This snack cost was 24,000tzs and i left...
