This place is wooow! 5 stars! The food is the best we had in Kendwa. I'm not too sure why people don't go here often. We checked the reviews, and it had the most reviews, and we went there. It's located away from all the tourists on the beach. The place is run by locals, and actually, their WiFi works superbly.
We had the tuna tartare dish(deep fried) absolutely delicious. We also had the giant snapper - very tasty and fantasticly done. Also had the darodana fish - woow so good. They even provided their in-house chilli sauce for us.

Read moreExcellent local food! We stopped here in an effort to find something authentic and off the main drag of Kendwa beach, and that is exactly what we found. The staff was extremely hospitable and attentive and made us feel so at home. My partner and I tried the masala fish and mix fisherman plates and tasted an assortment of fresh seafood with local Swahili flavors. We loved our experience here.

Read moreFood unfortunately was not tasty. The fish was not good. It tasted like it was not from today. Fries and rice were cold.
Which is a pity, because the restaurant is so lovely and the waiter was so friendly.
Prices are in schilling, but you can pay with USD with a very bad exchange rate. I've got 1:2000 which is 350 or so short of a fair course. But it seems to be normal in shops here. So bring Schilling to Kendwa.
Also, like many places here: if you are in a hurry, this is not the restaurant. They take their time.
