Three Brother's Local Restaurant — Restaurant in Unguja

I was excited to come here after seeing a few good reviews and it being close to the place we stayed at. When we got there it was closed, but someone was very quick to spot us and turned on the lights. Cute garden with many cats around. We didn't mind the wait of 1h so much but the food was such a disappointment. I am not a fussy eater at all. I ordered a whole fried fish with rice. The only edible thing on the plate was the rice. The fish skin was like leather and the meat of the fish tasted chemically, off and was as tough as a well done steak. Couldn't tell me what fish it was. First time I spat out food. The grilled octopus was unfortunately very chewy. We ordered fried onions which went well with the rice but had a decoration with chocolate sauce on the rim of the plate (??). The passion fruit juice was great though. Sad but will not return...

Best local restaurant in Bwejuu for a really cheap price. We stayed in Bwejuu for a week and tried several other restaurants. We discovered this gem and ate there for 3 days straight lunch and dinner. It takes a while to prepare our food but it’s totally worth it so go before you get really hungry.
