A really interesting place which I wouldn't have visited in the first place if I hadn't been attracted by the great reviews. After climbing up some steep stairs, a single room with a few wooden tables and chairs and a stunning view of the sea provides a real sense of 'dinner in Africa'. The waiter who, as it turns out is one of the cooks as well, could be a bit friendlier but took care of us without issues. The food must have been freshly prepared because it took a very long time before the 'Octopus Curry' and 'Prawns with Fries' were served but it was worth the wait - good portions and very, very tasty, especially the Octopus. Delicious lunch of seafood salad and prawn, avocado and cashew salad, which were freshly prepped and followed by a complementary platter of fruit. As per the previous review we had some discrepancy when it came to the bill. Having asked to pay our $13 bill in shilling, a total of 44,000 was requested. When we queried the exchange rate applied (a hefty 2,750 per USD!), we were able to point out that even at this unfavourable exchange rate the maths was incorrect by 8,250. Located directly at the beach. It's a cosy local restaurant. Mossi, our waiter was really friendly and welcoming. The food was freshly prepared and really delicious. We had tuna, veggie soup and veggie sambiosas. We left nothing on the plates. It was so good. Afterwards we even got a fresh fruit platter for free. What a nice surprise, served with a flashing smile. We had a great time there. So people, don't spend your evenings in expensive hotel restaurants.
