On-Yasai — Restaurant in Bang Kapi Subdistrict

A place for Japanese shabu buffet catering good quality ingredients. If you are a KTC credit card holder, you can enjoy come 2 pay1 (our selected buffet was standard buffet with the net price of 823 baht per person) . The location is very convenient (MRT Petchaburi, Singha complex entrance). The only thing they need to improve is the service of their staff. I don't mean all of their staffers, just this one lady we encountered when asking for the credit card promotion. She should have had explained the deal clearer and with a softer tone of voice. The way she explained made us think that if you come with 3, you could use all your points (if you have enough points) pay for the 3, money is not needed. So we asked her to confirm on our understanding and she suddenly turned unfriendly by the tone of her voice and kind of implied that we may not have enough points to afford this meal. That's why I rated the place with 4 stars instead of 5... Not sure if I will return to this branch (soon) since my first time visiting the place was not satisfactory with just this lady (hopefully by the time I re-visit, there will be other staff...

This place got a much lower standard than its Thonglor branch. Strongly not recommend to visit for two reasons.

Beef quality is different. Although they use the same meat, but they can serve only a thick slice that not fits for Shabu. I asked them to re-slice for three times and they said because of the blade was no longer sharp so they couldn't serve a thin slice like in their early opening of this branch.

I arrived around 7:40 pm but I could order my 90-min buffet only until 8:20 pm even though google shows closing time was much later than that.

The beef in the menu photo was so nice and I expected that it was the Japan Wagyu beef but it's not and that is Australian Wagyu. I order 2 soups, one is tofu soup another one is beef soup, the broth was fine but the sadness is that they have only one dipping sauce which is soy sauce and you can add more chilli, garlic, and spring onions. For the side dish, I did order sashimi the fish was cut too small the good side dish is fried chicken and dessert...
