FormosaPotetato Restaurant&Cafe (ฟอร์โมซา) — Restaurant in Bang Kapi Subdistrict

I have been coming here many times because it's one of those places that are mosquito free and have a big beautiful outdoor seating area.

However, today, I was so disappointed in the food, the prices, and the service. I will no longer patronise again.

I ordered my usual which is a whole fish steamed in soy sauce and rice. They price went up from 500+ baht to 588+. It's not a huge price jump, but i already thought i was overpaying slightly for it for thai prices. But i didn't mind because the fish was always fresh and it was always cooked deliciously.

Today the fish was fresh but it wasn't cooked to the usual taste standard. Part of the fish also tasted slightly of ammonia for some reason. I was so turned off, i stopped eating.

No one also came to ask me how my meal was, or asked if I needed anything. I was the only customer for the afternoon. The cashier also never asked if I found my lunch satisfactory so I didn't say anything because so what?

Anyway, disappointed that my favourite place has gone downhill. They used to have a piano player too but i think they fired him because there was no crowd enjoying him, except me...

This is a fantastic restaurant with many different sections. It's very deluxe and classy. There are four or five different outside sections, and two or three inside sections. Outside is like a jungle with nice seating areas. So it's a great place to take photos. I love the cashew chicken. It's delicious. Service is incredible. The servers are very professional and extremely attentive. This place definitely has 5-star service. Because the name is Potetato, I was hoping that they would have potatoes, but they don't have...
