Studio Sasa is an absolute gem of a place. Tucked inside a soi (alley) off the main Asoke road, it’s quiet yet right in the heart of the city. It’s a small boutique studio, cozy, but with funky decor, yet very homey. In a single word, it’s unique—reflecting the owner/stylist, Sasa, to the tee. Sasa has been my stylist for the past 6 to 7 years. I have tried numerous stylists from various salons around Bangkok but personally I find her the most knowledgeable when it comes to the “science” of hair. Having fine, thinning hair, it is very advantageous when the stylist can recommend a suitable color product for example, that will do it’s job but not damage the hair. She is the only stylist that has ever explained the science of coloring hair, how it will fade, what you will end up with after say 3 weeks and how different hair types react to the colors……. Sasa @ SasaStudio is simply amazeballs when it comes to hair. She was informative, gently persuasive about improving my hair self-care between visits. She made me feel so beautiful but also confident with encouraging me that I can continue to do my own hair to compliment my look. Her studio is cute, artistic, homey, eclectic and private. There’s a great little cafe right next door and easily accessible by car, Grab, BTS or MRT. To say she’s trans Or LGBTQ friendly would be an understatement. Highly recommend Sasa to anyone coming to Bangkok! I am spending some days in Bangkok and wanted to get my roots done before Christmas and New Years. I did some research before and found Sasa and looked at the reviews and I was lucky she still had a spot to squeeze me in.

Communication was super easy, she asked exactly what I wanted and asked some clarification questions, which I really liked. The whole process took about 2 to 3 hours and I am SO happy!
