This restaurant is really tucked away in the mountains. It was empty when we came so I had some doubts but they were definitely shut down once we tried the food.
I ordered the shrimp prawns with curry powder; we also ordered green curry, papy salad, fish with yellow curry sauce, and another chicken curry dish along with the several drinks.
I loved both the passion friuit and mango smoothies. The passion fruit is tangy and I love that they grind the seeds in for more texture. Very refreshing. The mangoes they use are the more sweet dessert kind so the smoothie is nicely sweet and creamy.
The prawns I had were cooked very well and the curry powders flavors were there but not too overpowering. It was a nice change from the creamy curries I normally eat and the peppers and eggs combined with the prawns were a lovely addition. The curry powders flavors shines through but not too much like Indian Dishes: gives a nice curry aroma that complements the prawns and sweet peppers.
The fish with yellow curry sauce was amazing. The curry sauce is more thick and rich than the ones in Khao soi and have a very aromatic and creamy texture. The blend of tumeric & coconut with the crispy, fresh fish was superb and probably the best thing we ordered.
The green curry was good, just very light on the flavor profile. Lighter than what you normally get even from your green curry from your favorite Thai place down the street back at home.
Atmosphere here was great; you get an entire view of the mountain and can see the bay from the distance. Combined with the food I’m sure this place will not disappoint. There’s small little fixtures and places for pictures if that’s your...

Since I am medically required to follow a vegan diet and experience severe stomach pain after eating non-vegan food, I can usually tell whether something is vegan or not. I asked the waiter if he could prepare a Pad Thai vegan, and I also showed him the Thai symbol for vegan. He did ask, "no egg?" but it seemed like that was the only thing he paid attention to. I had doubts when I placed the order and specifically asked several times if it could be made vegan, emphasizing what ingredients should not be used. Unfortunately, the waiter didn’t seem very interested and quickly left.
The Pad Thai was served without egg and looked good, but shortly after, I experienced severe stomach pain. So it was clearly NOT vegan.
Because of this, I unfortunately have to give the restaurant a bad review. For me, it was just stomach pain, but with stronger reactions to non-vegan food, I find it irresponsible to label something as vegan when it’s not.
The view here is amazing, and the location itself is really nice. However, it is also located next to a shop where elephants are clearly being mistreated, tortured, and kept under terrible conditions. Yes, the restaurant is not to blame for that, but it does leave a negative aftertaste.
I apologize for the 1-star review, as I would have liked to leave a positive one. I would have been completely satisfied if they had simply said they couldn't prepare the dish vegan. Then I would have just had a drink, been happy, and wouldn't have had health issues for the...
Read moreRude staff, average food After a day out we decided to sit in this restaurant. It has a beautiful view and cool breeze. We ordered a big lunch and we were enjoying our family time. It was getting busier and at one point the waitress came to us and said: " you have to leave, because these people want to sit here". She was actually sending us away.....we spent more than 2000 baht in this restaurant...I was in shock. " The land of the smiles" became the " land of rudeness and lack of customer service" of course we left, did she care? Of course not, the tourists were waiting outside, no need to be friendly. People come in anyway. Tip: avoid especially on Sundays and if you live here( like us) enough other options with friendlier staff and food...
