The Flying Armbar Turkish Grill - Chalong (Formerly Katatürk Chalong) — Restaurant in Chalong

Hi, I wanted to give a 4.5 but it cant be done on my tablet, so I gave it a 4.. my review is on the Adana Durum which was a Turkish Style Beef Kebab with salad and fries. And a side of rice.. over all the taste of the kebab was surprisingly tasty I thought the beef was going to be steak but it is minced beef with some yummy herbs and spices mixed into it.. and the fries were cooked well. The rice was a bit weird I was expecting it to have alot more flavour in it but it was okay. The salad could have done with some dressing and tomato. The size of the meal is average, however the cost of the meal is not too high so I get that. I would say the kebab would be even extra nice with a bit of hummus and a bit of yogurt sauce inside it.. and the size of the meal could be a bit bigger, also the manager though he said thank you at the end seemed a bit grumpy to talk with me. And a bit short tempered. I was also asked 3 times in the span of 4 minutes before my meal came if I wanted a drink and then had already said I wanted to keep the menu but they kept trying to take it away from me.. there were only 2 others in the restaurant at the time. I guess they were trying to keep busy. Other than that it was tasty and I am trying more of their food to see if it will redeem the last star on this Google...

I want to share my excitement after visiting this wonderful Turkish restaurant! I found out about this place thanks to my boyfriend, who plays padel tennis at Xplore.

When I was taken to this place for the first time, I expected not to like it since I'm not a fan of Turkish cuisine. Plus, I'm quite the critic when it comes to food and ambiance. But this place managed to work a miracle! I was absolutely delighted with everything.

The atmosphere here is simply magical – from the warm welcome to the overall hospitality and authenticity. The staff is attentive and polite, always ready to help and provide recommendations. You feel right at home, which is very valuable.

The food is incredibly delicious, from the main courses to the desserts. Even the classic Caesar salad impressed me. I can confidently say that the waitstaff has a high level of service and knowledge of etiquette, which is rare in Thailand. I can say this as someone who has worked in the restaurant business for some time.

The interior of the place is very minimalist and overall very cozy. It's great that they have many interesting promotions and are constantly innovating! Big kudos to the owners and staff. This is now my favorite place, and I will be coming here...

Really nice meal there, service was good and food was nice. However, the (person believe was) owner of the restaurant was sat in the corner. He spent the duration of our meal on TikTok, playing music videos, and taking phone calls. I have never seen an owner make their place of business suffer in this way. Fortunately, we asked to be moved to the other side of the restaurant (however he did not get the hint).

To the owner - I can appreciate Turkish cuisine without being subject to an angry conversation in your language. I hope you use this review to reflect on how you conduct yourself in your own place of business.
