Solo traveller: This was one of if not the best dining experiences i’ve ever had…with one unfortunate caveat. It is a family owned restaurant that obviously puts a lot of love and care into star they do and stay experience they offer their guests. The chef personally came and introduced every dish to me, there were several house made drinks, each dish had a unique flair, the design of the interior is great and we had live music as well! The dessert was my favorite and so was the beautiful ginger shot.

I want to rate this a full five stars so badly! Because my experience was the best in Thailand and i enjoyed the courses so much but I’m not sure what was going on that night but everyone was so friendly except for the head waiter. He was slightly rude and just overall seemed very grumpy towards me. I understand it may have been a long day and you just want to close, but as a guest I still think i deserve respect and kindness. I didn’t eat much of the courses as i had gotten sick a couple days prior so i couldn’t hold down much food, so I just sampled each course as it was Alot of food for a solo diner. I felt a bit judged for not finishing the dishes but they packed up the leftovers for me. This head waiter was also pretty rude and cold to me and i don’t understand why. I was in the last dinner service of the night so maybe he was tired and just wanted the day to be over. I was the last guest to pay their bill but i was only dining for 1.5 hours, i didn’t drag my time there. I actually was trying to leave quickly to make sure the staff isn’t waiting on me. I mean when i wanted to leave a large tip via card because I didn’t have much cash on me, he looked so irritated. I took 8 seconds to calculate a 20% tip that i wanted to add and he looked so incredibly agitated at me taking 8 seconds to ADD A TIP! I almost nearly told him to forget about the tip and that i’d just pay for my dinner alone, but i thought about the rest of the staff so i proceeded. Also when I requested to skip one of the courses as I knew I couldn’t finish it all, the waiter basically told me they can’t do that because it’s always prepared. I just think having an alternative so food isn’t wasted would’ve been nice.

I wish i could rate this five stars but that experience with that waiter left such a bad taste in my mouth even as i went home and even weeks later as im writing this.

I do still recommend you visit this restaurant because it is a lovely experience and it really seems like the Chef B truly care about every detail of the experience. I’d likely return if i’m back in CM but i’d probably request a different waiter if things haven’t changed :/. I hate writing anything negative because everything else was truly incredible but I have to speak my truth and I hope they see this and take note.

Aside: I do recommend having one course be fully vegetarian with no meat or seafood. Just a simple soup with no elements needing to be chewed. Meat after meat dish was a bit much, so i would’ve loved just a simple soup to start off or in the middle of the courses as a...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The most unforgettable dining experience of my life — worth every moment and every bite!

My fiancé and I have birthdays just two days apart, so we celebrate together on the day in between. On a whim, we messaged B Samcook Home 16 on Facebook the day of our celebration — and to our surprise, Chef Boy himself replied right away and kindly fit us in. I think he even arranged our seating before their official dinner hours, because we ended up having the entire restaurant to ourselves. It felt so romantic and exclusive, like a private dinner curated just for us.

From the moment we arrived, Chef Boy welcomed us personally and shared “My Food Story,” a thoughtful tasting journey blending Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Western influences. Every dish came with his warm explanation of the ingredients and inspiration behind it — you could tell this was his art and passion.

We started with a refreshing Thai cold herb drink, followed by a crab meat cream cheese spring roll, crispy and rich with perfectly seasoned fresh crab. The shrimp tom yum coconut soup came next — a Thai-Vietnamese fusion with basil that was aromatic, tangy, and deeply comforting.

Then came the pork rib with garlic pepper sauce, a dish that took over two hours to prepare — tender ribs infused with Chinese herbs, stir-fried in Thai-style garlic and sweet chili. A special drink followed to “get ready” for the mains — and then, the stars of the evening:

✨ Grilled salmon with lemon spicy sauce — a perfect East-meets-West dish. The mild Japanese-style lemon sauce with a touch of orange made the salmon juicy, bright, and balanced. ✨ Duck leg with mixed berry sauce — smoky, tender, and paired with a slightly tart homemade berry reduction and dragon fruit.

As if that weren’t enough, Chef Boy surprised us with an additional off-menu course and complimentary wine to celebrate our birthdays. For dessert, we enjoyed a homemade Thai dessert with cold-pressed fresh fruit juice (no added sugar!) — the perfect refreshing finale.

To top it all off, Chef Boy gifted us birthday trinkets from the local market, ice cream bars, and even offered to have someone drive us back to our hotel. His generosity, kindness, and genuine love for hospitality made us feel like family.

I’ve dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants, but this experience truly surpassed them all — not because of luxury or formality, but because of the heart behind it. Every bite, every detail, every gesture was thoughtful and full of care.

If I could give B Samcook Home 16 more than five stars, I would. The creativity, balance of flavors, and hospitality are absolutely Michelin-worthy. Chef Boy and his family created a night we will never forget — a meal that will live in our hearts forever.

Thank you so much, Chef Boy. You’ve set the gold standard for what hospitality truly means. 💛 (Visited November 2023 — sorry for the late review, but it deserved to be...

As you stepped inside the restaurant, you were immediately greeted with a warm and positive attitude, making you feel instantly comfortable. The ambiance of the place suggested that there was more to it than just a typical dining experience. Looking around, you noticed that whoever was running this restaurant had a captivating story to tell.

The story was conveyed through the dishes served, leaving room for interpretation and personal perception. The menu papers hung around the restaurant, reminiscent of an artist's workshop, added to the overall atmosphere. It was as if you were about to embark on a culinary journey, experiencing the artistry of food.

As you settled in, you let the chef guide you through the meal, eagerly anticipating the stories behind each dish. With every presentation, you were treated to something truly exquisite. Each plate was carefully crafted, not only to be visually appealing but also to delight your taste buds.

The chef's passion and creativity shone through every element of the dining experience, from the intricate details on the plate to the carefully selected ingredients. You could feel the chef's personal touch in every bite, as if they were sharing a part of themselves with you.

Sitting there, enjoying the culinary masterpiece, you realized that this wasn't just a meal. It was an experience that transcended the boundaries of traditional dining. Through food, the chef was able to express their story, their passion, and their artistry. And in that moment, you were fortunate enough to be a part of it, savoring not only the delicious flavors but also the profound connection between the chef, the food, and yourself.

Not only did they captivate with their culinary artistry, but they also went above and beyond by personally dropping me off at my hotel in their own van. This level of service showcased their dedication to ensuring guests' comfort and convenience.

Oh, not to forget there giveaway little souvenir elephant keychain with your dessert. ❤️

I’d like to thank the manager for his top notch service that beats any service I have ever experienced in my life. The chef for his passion and delicious menu and everyone involved in this lovely kitchen.

Cheers! 100...

❤️ I’d like to thank the manager for his top notch service that beats any service I have ever experienced in my life.
