After having tried all Indian restaurants, multiple times in Chiang Mai, this would undoubtedly be the best North Indian restaurant in Chiang Mai. Ate this 4 times this week, tasteful chicken biryani, not just the gravy but the marinade in the butter chicken, fresh charcoaled chicken tandoori, momos, chole bhature, the slim butter garlic naan, gave us the closest experience to India. the service and ambience is what you would be used to in a casual/fine dine in india. chef amit really works his magic to bring to you something this city has been craving. Excellent fairly authentic india food. I have been spending a lot of time in India and Delhi street is the closest you get to the real deal in Chiangmai. Inquired with the waitress who confirmed that the chef was actually from India. Each curry had distinctive different flavor, as opposed to most indian restaurants in chiangmai where every curry taste more or less the same indicating that they are not using the correct ingredients. I don’t understand why there are so many 5-star ratings… We were the only customers there, waited about 50 minutes for the food, and the chicken came out cold. The waiter told me it was freshly grilled, but after such a long time, it was still cold… They charge 90 baht for a can of Coke. This place is a total rip-off! Smart people, judge for yourselves.
