Everytime we walked past this place we saw many people here. We decided to give it a try. Have been to many similar grills in China and Malaysia, so looked promising. We ordered a mix of meats and veggies. My wife does not like spicy so we ordered with no spice. We waited quite some time to get our food, and when we finally got it we were a bit disappointed - somehow they confuse no spice with no flavor so everything was pretty much flavorless. There was also one dish we ordered that did not come. We ordered a bit more as the first round was really not a lot. When it came this time they put some spice on the side of the plate which I used to give it some flavor, but since it was spicy my wife could not add anything. I asked if they had salt and was told they didn't. In the end when we got our bill it had the missing item on there and I had a bit of a challenge with them understanding that yes I did order it, but NO they did not deliver it. They did finally remove it from the bill and apologize, so not a bit problem. They were actually very nice. We would not go back since food does need to have flavor. That said there was one exception. We ordered some chicken feet to go and they were actually great. I would say if you like spicy this place is probably good, but if you do not like spice expect no flavor which in Thailand seems an...
Read moreDuring my visit to, I had a mixed dining experience. Firstly, I noticed that the taste of each dish was somewhat similar, lacking a variety of flavors. While there were slight variations in the dishes, overall, they didn't offer many surprises. The texture of the food was a bit dry, and it might be beneficial to consider reserving the moisture during the cooking process to enhance the tenderness of the ingredients. However, one thing that truly stood out was their aromatic spicy powder. It left a lasting impression, adding an extra layer of flavor to the entire dining experience. The enticing aroma made me want to keep eating more. On the other hand, I must admit that I found their Thai tea too sweet for my liking. If you prefer desserts or beverages with lower sweetness levels, you may want to consider requesting a less sweet or sugar-reduced option. While the dishes lacked some flavor diversity, the spicy powder certainly added excitement to the overall meal. However, the excessive sweetness of the Thai milk tea may need careful consideration. Also, the price was a little bit high considering it is in Chiang Mai. I believe there is still room for improvement at this restaurant, and I look forward to them delivering more surprises and satisfaction...
Read moreI loved the open air restaurant and the space is quite wide so there are many places to sit and they have lots of staff on hand to help you! They’ll bring you a large picture menu and you use the paper menus at each table to write down what you want to order and how many of them (drinks and food are or separate menus!); you also can choose the spice level for the skewers! If you want varying levels of spice you should make separate orders on different papers. The staff were prompt and helpful even with us knowing very little to no Thai! The food came out fairly quickly and was quite delicious - we did medium spicy and that was plenty enough for us but not too overpowering! Honestly the highlight for my friend and I was the corn (so juicy and crunchy!) and the beef - we have been living in South Korea for three years and corn is mushy in Korea and beef is pricey, so this was a great choice for us! The delicious charred flavor on the meats and veggies was excellent paired with...
