Freerolls Restaurant, Sports Bar and Beer Garden — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Came to watch the Liverpool Man United game after googling an lfc bar in Chiang Mai, traveling 20 minutes to be amongst other supporters, but it was just a general sports bar with badges of many teams on the walls...and we were outnumbered by Manchester United fans by a long way 😅

Result aside, the bar was busy and we really struggled to get anyone walking by/attention from the servers. The non-alcoholic drinks selection was a lot smaller than other places so I ended up drinking water and then an orange juice that was so sweet and artificial tasting.

We ordered food on arriving (just some little bar snacks: jalapeno poppers, fries and mozzarella sticks) at 9:30ish and the poppers arrived fairly quickly, there was then a large gap before we got our fries, which were just dumped on a plate with no dips/sauce or salt offered. After another 30 minutes we were presented with food that wasn't ours, which we told the girl wasn't what we were waiting for. Shortly after, our original server who seated us (she was wearing a black shirt with stars on it and was a delight) confirmed we were still waiting for mozzarella sticks, but it was still another 30 minutes after that before they arrived. It was at least 11pm by then and the game was practically over. I'm not over fussy, honestly but an hour and a half for 3 appetizers to come out staggered while burgers and fish and chips were flying out of the kitchen was really poor.

The bar is big and well decorated, but we wouldn't return and just stick to local sports bars to...

This could be a great place, and judging by the reviews it used to be good. It isn't anymore. The western food is bad. I live nearby and have given this place multiple chances, and all western food I've tried has been bad. Some of the Thai food is ok, but not great. Service was so-so and has now dropped into the unacceptable range. Food with no utensils to eat it with is a common occurrence, happening to me and to two tables next to me in just one visit. I was bothered repeatedly to close my bill at 11:30 even though they are supposed to be open until 12. You cannot order draft beer here because if you do you will receive beer that is sour and is clearly out of date. It's just bad, all around. But it shouldn't be bad. It's clearly just poorly managed

Edit: I never chose any music. Never knew it was possible to choose music. No idea what you're talking about, but you should come around the place and see how it really is....

Caesar Salad with chicken was the best thing we ate. Tried a few things: spring rolls were just ok, pepperoni cheese bread was just ok, pork cheeseburger slider and bbq pork slider both just ok. Spaghetti was no flavor at all! No salt, no pepper, no Italian seasoning! Honestly, except for the salad the rest was pretty plain and no flavor. The sliders looked like they had been microwaved out of the package from 7-11. So the salad and Oreo ice cream gave it the second star. Staff was really good, but there were only 2 other tables in the place. They brought lots of games to the table to play. Atmosphere is average. Mostly outdoors, only a small room with the beer tap tables which are not convenient for a group not drinking to eat at, but it had air con and it was humid today with the rain. It’s definitely pub food and a game...
