Khamsaen Cafe (คำแสน คาเฟ่) — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

For the record, I’ve never written a review of this nature and am ridiculously disappointed in the service of a 4+ star rated cafe.

I went here a few times and it was fine, but if you ask them to do anything extra (such as split the bill) they will be EXTREMELY rude. They overcharged my friends and I ฿100 and after adding up the math in front of their face, they still refused to let us leave with paying extra. I told them that they were going about the entire issue unprofessionally, and they SCOFFED and blamed us for not being more clear about wanting a split bill from the start (not that they even asked). They refused to acknowledge that they added the numbers wrong or even that they treated us poorly. It’s incredible that this restaurant is still open with employees like this.

Hands down our worst dining experience in Chiang Mai. My wife and I have been to this cafe multiple times, main reason being that we live very close. The cafe is honestly subpar. We have never had any issues, however, until tonight. My wife and some friends met here for dinner tonight and I am in shock about what happened. They asked to split the checks and this was simply an impossible task for the staff. I get it, splitting the check isn’t fun especially if they have a weird system, I get it. Oh I love espresso 1st thing in the am, well anytime of day & when I take that 1st sip, its like a drug 😆 and I want to be relaxed and at peace when I do.
