UPDATED REVIEW - 11 APR 2025

Greetings to whoever replied to my review and thanks for the delightful spelling of my last name. It's PLETSCHKE! Not a great start when responding to a review, I might add. It costs nothing to at least get someone's last name right! Wouldn't you agree? #professionalismiskey

I'd like to point out that I'm not making "accusations" as previously mentioned, but purely stating facts, i.e. logic versus emotion (I prefer to avoid the latter, so should you). I also found the "science lesson" regarding foodborne illnesses most entertaining, extremely condescending and simply untrue. I appreciate a bit of sarcasm as much as the next witty person, but I draw the line when it becomes an attack on my intelligence and/or personality, as well as for anyone in my family.

I'm just simply not going to play your little tit-for-tat game (it's just childish and boring TBH) about whether the food at Little Red Oven Chiangmai (LROC) caused my partner and I to feel unwell. You have clearly insinuated that my review is not genuine, and that's unfortunately another reflection on the lack of professionalism on display.

Lastly, I appreciate the reminder of how damaging false accusations can be to any business, but that's just simply not the case in this situation. I wish everyone at LROC all the best in the future and hope that when or if we return, we could meet the management team. Hopefully, by then (one could only dream), the writing style will be less unprofessional regarding customer service, and show respectfulness as well as a bit of class when communicating with customers. #enoughsaid #objectiveNOTsubjective

Cheers,

Shaun

FYI - I've dropped the service rating after reading your "charming" reply 🙄🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

ORIGINAL REVIEW - 10 APR 2025

Khun Bas is an absolute superstar! So friendly, professional and extremely patient. I took forever to finally pay my bill, and even after I eventually did, Khun Bas didn't show any difference in his behaviour. It was a pleasure meeting him and his colleagues, "Tie" and "Bass".

The atmosphere looks really cosy and perfect for a quiet romantic dinner. I can be quite loud from time to time, but the surrounding area would make even a mouse sound like a BKK tuktuk chasing down Sukhumvit! 🤪😂

Unfortunately, the pizzas were a tremendous disappointment. My partner and I are currently unwell after eating a few slices of the 2 pizzas (½ + ½) I purchased, i.e. The 3 Musketeers, Spicy Bacon, The Signature & Four Cheese

I had had a few drinks before but my wife had not, so there's no justifying that the pizzas had something clearly wrong with them. They did smell a bit off (I think the salami, pepperoni or bacon was past it's sell by date) when I had a look at them at the restaurant, but I wanted to get a second opinion first and asked my wife.

She said that the meat on both pizzas smelled a bit strange and only had a slice of the ½ Four Cheese pizza. Moments later, my wife had to go to the bathroom and that's when I decided to throw out the pizzas. I also only had a few bites of each of the pizza flavours and it just didn't taste right.

My partner and I don't need to see a doctor. We're not "precious" but we also don't need to eat food that isn't fresh on our vacation, especially since we have a 15-month old baby! Can you imagine what would've happened if she accidentally ate the salami for example?

Lastly, the pizzas were extremely overpriced for the size. I paid almost THB 600 for 2 mini pizzas! That's more expensive than most pizzerias in BKK and I would know because I live there #neveragain...

Unpleasant size of pizza... I have ordered on Grabfood the cheese pizza (395bahts on the app) and the size was ridiculously small... The Pizza was 24cm diameter only, and you should also consider there is at least 6cm of dough. Total scam when you consider that Adirak, Amataros and many other pizza restaurants will prepare a bigger pizza (at the normal size then) for the same price or even less. About the pizza itself, the dough was good, but too much mascarpone and not enough blue cheese on it. It was like I ate a pizza covered with butter... I wanted to give it a try because the delivery time was faster than Adirak, but i really regret...

Wife wanted pizza so we came here. They have their 2in1 pizza menu which was perfect for us as we wanted to share a pizza.

Pizza was good. Softer dough and generous toppings made it an easy dish to finish. They have several 2in1 pizza combos in their menu. We added a calamari rings . Good batter but a lil thin on the calamari 😅

The craft soda brand was just so so unfortunately

Overall love the laid back al fresco setting and it was a good pizza. No mossies but they do have mosquito spray available.

Parking : in...

This is a little restaurant that seems like it’s in someone’s backyard. The area is beautiful with trees and nice lights. We had the pepperoni pizza which was good, but the Bismarck was really special. It comes with an egg on top and it tasted delicious. The pizza crust had a little char on it and was quite good. We really enjoyed this restaurant!
