ZEN Japanese Restaurant Central Chiang Mai — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

This ZEN branch at Central Festival is WORST ZEN we have ever been to. We came here when it first opened and it wasn't good so we stayed away, waited 6 months to give it a 2nd chance and it got worst.

The sashimi was old and dried. One of the tuna sashimi was seared and they flip it over to hide it because it was probably a mistake order from another customer or from their buffet left-overs.

The steamed chicken with eggs over rice was cold and dried. It looks like it's been sitting out in the open for at least half an hour.

We ended up eating noodles at the food court. Stay away from this branch...instead go to the one at Central Airport/Robinson it's...

若果可以選擇的話，這店舖服務我絕對不會給予星。因為，該店有職員對於外國遊客十分不友善。我和老婆兩人在今日下午約兩點半進入餐廳，而我們是選擇食自助餐，當時有一位年青女職位招呼，表示剛好有客人結帳，讓我們先坐在門口等後區座椅，收搭好枱面就可安排我們入座。大約兩分鐘，一對泰國本地男女在店舖門口跟店舖內另一個女職員（身形有點胖）争論了幾句後，就立即安排他們入座我們的座位，然後，該職員要求我們再等下10分鐘之後，如果有客戶結帳抬才能入座。這個情況就是因為我們是外地遊客？這個職員是否正在破壞泰國好客之國的形象？太令人傷心了！😔😔😔

If I had a choice, I would never give a star to this store's service. Because the store has staff who are very unfriendly to foreign tourists. My wife and I entered the restaurant at about 2:30 this afternoon, and we chose to eat the buffet. At that time, a young woman greeted me and said that there was just a customer to check out, so let's sit at the door and wait for the seats in the back area. Once the table is set up, we can be seated. For about two minutes, a couple of local Thai men and women argued with another female staff (a little fat) in the shop at the door, and immediately seated them in our seats, and then the staff asked us to wait for another 10 minutes. Minutes later, if there is a customer checkout, they can be seated. Is this the case because we are foreign tourists? Is this clerk destroying the image of Thailand as a country of hospitality? So sad!😔😔😔

ถ้าฉันมีทางเลือก ฉันจะไม่ให้ดาวแก่บริการของร้านนี้ เนื่องจากทางร้านมีพนักงานที่ไม่เป็นมิตรกับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติเป็นอย่างมาก ผมกับภรรยาเข้าไปในร้านอาหารตอนประมาณ 2:30 น. บ่ายวันนี้ เราเลือกทานบุฟเฟ่ต์กัน ตอนนั้น มีหญิงสาวคนหนึ่งทักทายผมว่ามีแค่ลูกค้าที่จะเช็คเอาท์ ก็เลยนั่งที่ประตู และนั่งรอบริเวณที่นั่งด้านหลัง พอจัดโต๊ะเรียบร้อย เราก็นั่งได้ ประมาณสองนาทีชายหญิงชาวไทยสองคนทะเลาะกับพนักงานหญิงอีกคนหนึ่ง (อ้วนนิดหน่อย) ในร้านที่ประตูและจัดพวกเขาให้นั่งที่นั่งของเราทันทีแล้วพนักงานก็ขอให้เรารออีก 10 นาที. นาทีต่อมา ถ้ามีลูกค้าชำระเงิน ก็สามารถนั่งได้. ที่เป็นเช่นนี้เพราะเราเป็นนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ? เสมียนคนนี้กำลังทำลายภาพลักษณ์ของประเทศไทยในฐานะประเทศแห่งการต้อนรับหรือไม่? ...

This was my first time eating actual sushi and it was a really fun experience. The staff was really nice and accommodating, and there wasn’t a long wait for our food. It’s a good price for the quality and taste, and it seemed pretty authentic to me. They put a ball of wasabi on my plate along with other pairings with the sushi and my brother thought it would be a good idea to eat it, and I think we all know how that went for him... Anyways, a good time...
