Sizzler - Central Festival Chiangmai — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

My experience at The Sizzler in the Central Festival Chang Mai mall was mixed, to say the least. I was initially excited to try The Sizzler as it is not available in America anymore, but unfortunately, my vegetarian dining options were extremely limited.

I was disappointed to find out that this location did not carry the only plant-based item on the menu, the beyond meat burger. As a result, I ended up opting for the salad bar buffet, which was underwhelming. While the complimentary cheese toast was a nice touch and the robot delivery was a fun novelty, the fruit at the salad bar, like watermelon and pineapple, was not up to par in terms of taste. The salad options were decent and fresh, but the highlight of the bar was the variety of sauces available.

The cold cooked items could have been improved if served hot, as items like the grilled onions still had the skin on them and the broccoli did not hold up well when served cold. The mushroom soup was average, but the baked potato was a standout dish. Additionally, the watermelon smoothie was a refreshing choice.

Overall, my recommendation would be to visit The Sizzler if you are a meat eater, as the vegetarian options are lacking. While the salad bar had some okay selections, the lack of plant-based protein options was a major drawback for me personally. With some improvements to their vegetarian offerings, The Sizzler could potentially appeal to a wider range of diners...

Just like Sizzler restaurants in other countries, Sizzler here provides the decent quality of salad bar, and it is even better comparing to other countries.

The choices of veggies are huge, which vary from Western to Asian. The soup, fruits and desserts are also included in the salad bar.

The salad buffet is included in the meal, but you can order it separately, which costs 139 THB. Definitely a good price to try. I have noticed that many people come here for salad buffet only.

It’s very clean and looks very delicate. Which reminds me of the buffet restaurants at some 4-star hotels. The service is also very friendly.

You can go wrong with all you can eat salad bar here. Especially if you are salad lovers.

Been here few times already..they are always busy and have to rotate the table at all time. Staff are all welcoming customers and try to service as quick as they could. l noticed after cleaning the table that they took us to the seat, the tables always have damp smell left on the table. Once we asked to change the table. It happened with us again today, but this time l got my wet wipe and did it myself. The smell was gone after my wiping. They really need to change the new wiping table more often to keep food hygiene up to the standard. However, food is really good value to what we paid for especially salad bar. Please improve and sort out the damp smell from the clothes. Just change the clean one more often.. the wet clothes also need to be washed or sanitised after...
