Title: Mixed Experience at Haidilao Central Festival Chiang Mai
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Review: I recently dined at Haidilao in Central Festival Chiang Mai and had a mixed experience. While the food was delicious, there were a few drawbacks that affected my overall satisfaction. I would rate my visit a 3 out of 5.
Let's start with the positives—the food at Haidilao was tasty. The flavors were rich, and the variety of ingredients offered was impressive. I enjoyed the dining experience in terms of the culinary offerings.
However, one notable downside was the high price. Haidilao is known for its premium hot pot dining experience, and this is reflected in the prices. It may be considered quite expensive compared to other dining options in the area. If you are budget-conscious, it's worth considering this aspect before visiting.
Another area that left room for improvement was the service. While the staff members were generally attentive, there was an excessive level of attention that compromised personal space and privacy. The constant presence of staff members trying to assist and provide services sometimes felt intrusive and overwhelming.
Additionally, when it came to ordering beverages, there was an unusual delay. The wait time for the drinks to arrive was longer than expected, which was disappointing. This aspect could have been managed better to ensure a more efficient and enjoyable dining experience.
In summary, Haidilao at Central Festival Chiang Mai offers delicious food, but there are a few drawbacks to consider. The high prices, the overly attentive service that compromises personal space, and the slower service for beverage orders were notable aspects that impacted my experience. If you are willing to overlook these drawbacks, the food quality itself is...
Read moreSuch an interesting place. Very different from all the other hot pot restaurants in Chiang Mai for many reasons. You can choose up to four soup types to cook in, with some really great, exotic flavors. I was surprised how delicious the vegetarian oat soup base was! There are tons of meat, seafood, vegetable, and noodle choices to be ordered via ipad. The potato noodles are a must try! Of course the noodle that is made at your table is super fun and really tasty. There is a fruit and small salad bar with edamame and some veggies that is included in the price. Also milk flavor soft serve ice cream. You do have to pay 45฿/person extra if you want to use the additional spices and seasonings on the salad bar. But we didn’t find it necessary to use them. Interestingly there is a massage chair for while you wait for your table and free manicure service as well! (You need to check in on the iPad in the nail area to get into the queue for having your nails done and they stop this service at 10pm) Our family of three (including my 11 year old daughter) spent about 2,300฿ on dinner and left with a small amount of leftovers, feeling very full. Highly recommend this place, especially if you have tried a lot of other hot pot restaurants and want a new twist! Super...
Read moreWe are family travelers from Korea. After today's visit, I leave a message because it became the best memory I had. Today, I had my last meal in Haidilao on the day I went back to Korea, and I felt happy and touched by the great service and taste. Especially, the Manager who wearing black uniform made us special sauces and showed us a special service. It was my first time eating hot pot, and I could eat it deliciously. Especially at the end, I was really happy and moved by singing for my family from abroad and giving me drawing and picture. This is the place that I remember as the happiest memory in Chiang Mai. I hope all the employees of this store will be happy until we meet again....
