Cabbages & Condoms — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

We came here around 2pm for a late lunch and ordered a green curry, prawn and chicken fillet with fried kale and chicken fried rice. We also got a coffee and orange drink. We found that the food did take a while here but it was worth it as it was extremely fresh with delicious flavours. The chicken fried rice was beautiful with full of flavour. The vegetables in the curry were very fresh! The decor inside was not too exciting and kinda retro, but the staff were very friendly.

A fantastic restaurant dedicated to an excellent cause. The restaurant's profits go towards an HIV/AIDS and family planning outreach organization called the Population & Community Development Association. They have a tasty selection of northern Thai dishes at this location. The food was excellent. Prices are a bit higher than surrounding restaurants but the profits go to good cause. Wanted to support a good cause but the food was horrible. I’m Thai & brought 2 foreign friends here, I was so embarrassed I brought them to a restaurant that served fake Thai food. The pad se ew was so sad, the noodles were white color which means they didn’t use any of the sauces that’s usually in a pad se ew. We came here in April 2024, I hope it was a one-off thing but I won’t be coming back...
