You know you're here for BBQ ribs, as there aren't many things to choose from the menu, and you know that they're really focus to be good at one thing and one thing that's why you chose to be here for. It's even in the name of the restaurant.
I ordered small serving of their signature BBQ ribs, and realised I should have ordered large size. It was so tasty that small size is just not enough to filled my appetite. Most people here are ordered large size also. Don't make the same mistake, just go large. That's what you're here for.
Even though the BBQ ribs was tasty, I felt it still missing something that would push it further than the already good foundation. Then I noticed chili sauce along side the ribs. It was too late, though, and I already finished my small portion. Don't make the same mistake, pours that sauce all over your ribs if you can handle a little heat. It will push the ribs to the next level.
I was hungry for more so I decided to try out their spaghetti meatball in tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked to al dente. The meatball was surprisingly good. The sauce was standard affairs, though. There were decent amount of grated cheese on the plate.
I totally recommended this place for their BBQ ribs. There are also fish & chips, chicken wings, and other things too, but the main reason to be here, really, is their ribs. Didn't disappointed...
Read moreExtremely generic. Fish and chips were a child’s portion, just one thin piece of fish. Chips were not fresh, absolutely from frozen. So American! I know from professional experience that it is the same amount of work and time (if you have a potato slicing tool, which literally takes 30 seconds to wash and cut the potato into fries) to make fresh fries, and the taste experience/feeling in your belly is so not the same. I could say much on that subject, but let’s move on to the ribs. Very generous portion. Excellent texture. Again, the only criticism is the generic quality of sauce and preparation. You have a kitchen full of Thai cooks in a region which is expert at making fantastic pork dishes(and fresh cut fries!) .Let go of the cookie cutter mentality and let your cooks put a little of their experience and expertise into the ribs. A little scorching with a high flame, a lille smoke from the fat fallimg into the fire, etc . Beer and wine selection horrifically generic. Even the “craft beer” on tap tastes like run of the mill American beer. Disappointing. At least offer something local, like a sato or something. And at least offer one decent Italian red. Not going...
Read moreFor a place that specifically advertises ribs as their primary protein, you would think they would have a better idea how to cook pork ribs. The full slab we ordered was overcooked and had surprisingly very little meat on the rack. When we cut the ribs out into individual bones, what little meat there was just fell off onto the plate. Really strange. I'm happy to report that the beef rib we got was considerably better. A lot of really tasty, well-cooked meat, but none of us could detect any smoke in the meat.
The sides were very small - like a single cup of French fries to go with the whole slab of ribs?? Oh, and 5 whole onion rings! Try not to eat them all at once, and don't share, whatever you do!
They seem surprised when we asked for more barbecue sauce instead of ketchup, since that was all they had at the table. It took them 15 minutes to bring us 5 shot glasses filled with barbecue sauce--yes, actual shot glasses! Apparently, this restaurant thinks that barbecue ribs are only ever served with ketchup.
Anyway, it was quite expensive for "meatless" pork ribs and small sides, and we...
