Favola at Le Meridien Chiang Rai is literally one of the coolest Italian restaurants I’ve been to. The vibe feels classy but not too formal — perfect for a chill dinner with friends or even a cute date night. The place sits right by the river, so when you come around sunset, it’s seriously Instagram-worthy. Warm lights, water reflections, and chill music — total main-character moment.
The food? Chef’s kiss. The pizza crust is crispy outside but soft inside, and the pasta tastes super fresh — like they actually care about every bite. I tried the truffle pasta and margherita pizza, and both were next-level. They also have awesome mocktails (and wine if you’re with your parents). The desserts are fire — especially the tiramisu — light, creamy, not too sweet.
Service here is 10/10. Everyone’s super polite and attentive, but not in that awkward formal way. The staff keep checking if everything’s okay and even help take photos if you ask nicely. You can tell housekeeping and the restaurant team put real effort into keeping the place spotless — everything from the table setup to the restrooms looks fresh and clean.
If you’re in Chiang Rai and want somewhere that feels fancy but still relaxed, Favola is the move. It’s a mix of good food, great views, and that “this could be a reel” kind of aesthetic. Definitely worth dressing up a bit and going with your...
Read moreWe went there twice while visiting Chiang Rai. The first time was for a Japanese buffet and it was great. The staff is truly amazing and it makes a big difference. The second time was very different though, during a regular week night, Favola is supposed to be an Italian restaurant. Any Italian gastronomy amateur would have been disappointed. The food is quite pricy for such a quality. The four cheese pizza is clearly not made with four different kinds of cheese, the Burrata comes with 3 leafs of salad without any sauce (olive oil or balsamic is the bare minimum), and when we ordered the Afogatto it came without the espresso that is basically one of the only 3 I ingredients of this desert. Eventually asked for it and they gave it to us but it shows just how much there is a lack of Italian food knowledge. On the positive sides, the venue and view over the river are just amazing. I'd like to end that review on a good note about the staff who's really...
Read moreFavola is an Italian Restaurant located in the Riverside Le Méridien Resort Chiangrai The restaurant is established at the nicest part of the hotel i.e on the bank of the river. They serve fantastic Italian food at quite high price which is not surprised because it is a part of the luxury hotel. A fruitful wine list is available and I need to say that glasses of wine with their Italian dishes at the outside table on the riverside will be your unforgetable moment. Atmosphere is second to none - especially in the evening you can enjoy elegant view of the river with beautiful lightings as they design with dim lights around. You can also choose to sit on the tables inside the air-conditioned area but can't enjoy so much about the outside view. Favola opens everyday between noon time...
