Leelawadee Chiang Rai Restaurant — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

I can’t get over how awesome this place is, words cannot express how this really set the eating standard here in Chang Rai.

The food was off the charts beautiful decorated, and the taste matched to how awesome the food was. Even though it was really busy the service made sure we were taking care of from beginning to end of our meal. They were so kind, and courteous to us the light out the experience.

It was our first night in town, everyone was super hungry we just ate forgetting to even take any photos. Even my son chowed down on the food, and he is super picky.

Good live music, atmosphere was just amazing, and I can’t get over how awesome the service plus food was off the charts.

Don't be fooled by the up-market exterior. Very poor restaurant that at first appears a bit 'up-market'. Good location beside the river on the outskirts of Chiang Rai.

Six of us had a meal there before setting out for Chiang Mai. What a mistake! Overpriced for what we got and we all agreed the meals were below average. Three of us had chicken meals, and the chicken was full of gristle.

Whether we spoke in English or Thai, the staff just stood there grinning and were quite hopeless. Service was slow.

Towards the end of our meal a lady with good English came over and introduced herself as the manager, and asked if everything was OK. When we said 'No' she explained that most of the staff were new and inexperienced.

What a pathetic excuse - a good restaurant would not use such staff until they were trained.

Restaurant market themselves open at 1130hrs and even their sign stated 1130hrs. On 13 0ct 2018 at 1140hrs we drove to the restaurant and walked in. No staffs approached us to greet or welcome us. All seen sitting down talking and playing their mobiles. I sit on a empty table and staff said it is reserved and then told us restaurant start at 12noon. What a shame ! A restaurant market themselves open at 1130hrs and a early walk in diners not only not greeted or welcome upon walking in were further told to wait till 12noon before we can start our order. Sorry never again ! We left and ate elsewhere. Will never recommend anyone's to eat there and after we complained about their operating hours they now change their time to open at 12 noon in google but they obviously still stated operating 1130hrs on their...
