Sabun Nga Khan Tok — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

Hello everyone, After our trip at Phu Chi Fa, our local guide proposed us this wonderful restaurant, with authentic northern Thai meal.

At first, thousands thanks for the huge kindness of the owner, the cooker and the waitress.

I have to tell you, my wife and I are a mixed couple... We had thousands questions about each meal... And each time, we have received an answer with this wonderful smile. Everything was Aroi Mak Mak ( very very tasty. Hehehe) Ok you can guess, we are huge fan. We are from Bangkok and France, but we will try to come each year. Cos it is just a tasty place with wonderful persons.

It’s a really nice restaurant for Thai foods but if you want to eat western food, especially burgers then it is not the place for you. They gave me a cold burger and when I told them that it’s cold, they microwaved everything including the buns and lettuce. The buns were so greasy and and they turned into like cupcakes. To be fair though, it was very cheap so I guess you can’t expect more, however I was just disappointed that they gave me a cold burger and when I informed them, they just microwaved everything!!! :( I took these pictures because it was so bad and I wanted to write a review. Good. Bit different. (Went for dinner, not the buffet lunch.) There were only 2 other tables which is a shame but it was nice. Sat in the restaurant at the front. (Not the Lanna room with performers I saw in photos.) Had the larb which was recommended - very tasty, bit too much offal for me (purely psychological) but ar lass loved it.
